Mary's baby

It was a cool day in Waycross and the rays of the setting sunset the world in twilight. I wasn't thinking of that though. I was worried about my aunt. Rightfully so do to the fact that she had been missing for weeks. This concerned me. However this peaceful night was shattered when a tornado began to form nearby. It seemed to be heading towards my friends and I sweeping us up in chaos. When sucked in and thrown out quickly. When we hit the ground we fell into sand dune. As we dug ourselves out I noticed we weren't in Waycross anymore.

"Ptwt where are we?" I asked as I stood and brushed the sand off my pants.

"I don't know but wherever we are its sandy." Josh said

"Guys a little help." Charlie muttered though a mouth full of sand.

"I'll help you." Callyann said smacking him on the back.

"Hey guys someone's coming." I said spotting a figure in the distance. Coming from the dust was a woman dressed in a white dress and a leather jacket and some boots. Her hair was in dreadlocks and accented with feathers. As she drew near I could make out her slim face and hazel eyes and most of all her bulbous belly. She had a glow about her. I knew even then she was pregnant.

"Hello traveler. I'm Mary Magdalene. May I ask what are you doing in the desert?" She asked in a shockingly familiar voice.

"We were sort of dropped off here." I said.

"Well at any rate you seem to need rest. Why don't we go to the village on the hill?" She asked

"Sounds ok to me." I said. With that we set off toward the village on the hill. It wasn't long before we were greeted by the warmth of torchlight and the stares of curious onlookers. She led us to a small shabby looking shack. Here she stooped and went inside. After a moment she emerged again. This time she smiled a beaming smiled.

"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I didn't get you're names." She said warmly.

"I'm Janie, That's Josh, Charlie, Callyann and Rose." I said

"Ok then welcome, please to meet you. Now why don't yall come inside its quite cold." She said.
