Title: You Found Me
Summary: How did you know just where I would be? Tom/Ginny
Disclaimer: I own neither HP nor the song "You Found Me" which is a Kelly Clarkson song.
-----------------------------------
Is this a dream?
If it is
Please don't wake me from this high
Your dark eyes are looking at me. You smile, a predatory smile that makes me so cold and so warm at the same time. Your slender fingers trace the outline of my pale face. Though I am fading, I can still feel you. See you. Only you.
I've become comfortably numb
Everything is alright. Everything is finally okay. Months I have been waiting for this moment. This sweet moment when I would finally be allowed death. I am numb now, waiting patiently for my final breaths. You're taking power from me, I can feel it. You grow stronger as I am slowly losing life.
You found me
When no one else was lookin'
How did you know just where I would be?
How did you know that I needed you? Needed this? How did you find me Tom? I try to seek the answer in your eyes but you merely look at me, not once speaking. Are you angry with me? I try to communicate my feelings without speech, because I am too weak now. You shake your head, kneeling beside me and cupping my pale face gently in your hands.
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
"Princess"
You speak to me, your dark eyes getting stormy and somehow conveying emotion for the first time.
"You are so frail."
I wonder whether that is a bad thing. If you are disappointed in me.
"Why are you not afraid to die?"
You ask, your eyes taking in my fragile body.
You're by my side
Now everything's fine
"You wanted to die."
You read my eyes like no one can. I try to nod. You smile.
"I knew that, princess. Yet most girls your age are not strong enough to face death. They cower in the face of it. Wish they had never asked for it. You are different."
And I was hiding
'Til you came along
And showed me where I belong
A tear slips down my cheek. You bend over and for a moment your lips touch my skin. Your tongue darts out and you taste my tears like it is the sweetest thing you have ever drunk. I close my eyes as your breath tickles my throat. You bite down, and I feel a hot liquid slip down my neck. You drink my blood like some vampire and I know it will give you more power. I know, deep inside, that you are doing it to help me. To ease the passing. I shiver.
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
The good and the bad
And the things in between
You speak to me once more. I try to open my eyes to look at you, but you tell me to relax and stop trying with just one soft touch. Your voice is full and warms me from the inside. I feel fuzzy and like I am floating. I can feel you smile even with my eyes closed.
"Thank you, princess."
I feel cold and desolated when you leave, but I know better than to call you back. I am not sure whether I had the strength if I wanted to, anyway. Without you, darkness overtakes me that much faster. My throat is sore and my body feels weightless and yet also oddly heavy. I think of you and a smile forms itself on my lips. You saw me. You found me and rescued me. You should not be thanking me.
As my breathing becomes irregular and shallow I focus each and every part of my being on you. You owe me your life, and thus I owe you my death.
Thank you Tom.
