Saudi Arabia
Charles Grey strolled down the hall of the embassy.
It was his turn to take watch, it was his shift.
He strolled down to where Hector Williams waited patiently for him, in a suit similar, near identical to his own.
For close to a month the team had been providing security for the ambassador and his family.
In that month Grey had seen what had been going on, he wasn't blind. But he wasn't about to tell his friend what to do with his spare time, no one felt the need to lecture him on his activities.
"It's been a quiet night so far."
Grey nodded, "Who's working tonight?"
"The cousins, did you check the perimeter?"
Again, Grey nodded, "Yeah, just checked it. You're good to go. Get some sleep before the first call."
Williams gave his friend a smile. He then nodded, "Yeah. If you need anything just call me."
Grey didn't ask where he would be. He knew exactly where and didn't want to go any farther then that. He nodded and simply said, "One week left."
Grey could see his friends face. He watched Williams stoll down the hall of the embassy and out of his sight. Knowing just where his friend was going. Knowing just how much trouble his friend would have been in if he was found out.
"Just one week left," he whispered more to himself.
William's walked out of sight, down the hall and down a flight of stairs. He loosened his tie and continued on through the plush carpeted embassy, past old paintings of royal courts and animals, giving it a regal feel.
The tie was off and he began to unbutton his jacket. With a look around he opened a closed door and disappeared in the room. Locking it behind him. The room opened up into a library, an empty library.
Williams knew better.
He shrugged the jacket off his shoulders, "It's me, you can come out, it's safe."
A figure came out of the dark shadows of the room. A figure covered in black silk from head to toe. A petite figure that made William's heart flip-flop. She pushed the veil from her face and
pulled the black silk from the top of her head.
Hector dropped his jacket onto a corner table.
"Did he see me?"
Hector shook his head. He sat down in a chair beside the table that held his jacket. "No. Your good." He then held out his hand and she walked over to him. Her dark eyes held his, "Hector, we can't keep this up. We're going to have to stop."
He knew that and didn't want to hear it again.
"What about when we get back to the states?"
A smile crossed her lips.
"Hector. It's bad enough you do what you do...I bounce around too much."
Hector reached out to her and got a handful of black silk. "Yasmine...if that is your real name."
She smiled, "It's not."
He shrugged, "I don't care."
"And your point being," she asked.
"My point being...when I'm done here and you're done doing what your doing, what will you be doing?"
A smile crossed her lips.
Hector tugged her closer, "Just hear me out."
She sighed and took a seat on his leg. Adjusting the abayaa around her and tugging on the gloves that covered her hands to her elbows.
"We could go on vacation in a far away and wonderful place known as Key West."
One silk glove came off.
She smiled, "I have a house down there."
"Water water, snorkling, beer, Marguritaville, boats. Me, you, that nude bar. I don't see how this could go bad."
"Hector no."
Hector pulled her closer. He wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face in the black silk. Breathing the scent of her in. He looked up at her and asked, "How long do you have tonight?"
She leant down and kissed his forehead, "Not long enough."
