Numbuh 1 had gone into the main part of the spaceship where his work was waiting for him

As he walked in, there was a giant picture of the planet they were nearby. Earth. Where he used to live

"Nigel" A computer voiced boomed "It's your choice" it said while the ship pointed a laser to the earth "You either destroy this planet now or live with the guilt of not doing it forever."

Nigel had nodded, intent on his decision.

A little panel had risen in front of him

Now all he needed to do was to press that little button in the middle and this planet would be gone

"Nigel!" Chad said, suddenly stopping him. He was so close to pressing the button "Stop! Don't do this!" Chad protested

"Why shouldn't I?" Nigel asked through gritted teeth. He was wasting time

"Because this is where our families are! This is where we were created! This planet is the only thing we know" Chad said

Nigel had chuckled dryly "This planet is infested with adults. It's crawling with them. It doesn't deserve to live anymore"

"Nigel, your almost an adult" Chad fired back "Your almost 17 . You have been apart of Galactic Knd for seven years. Killing this planet would be all kinds of unfair. It doesn't need to die."

Nigel didn't look at him

"Look at you Nigel" Chad began "This is not who you used to be. This is not who you are. And this is not what the Knd was about. The Knd was about giving children a place where they would go to be understood. It wasn't about killing every adult and it wasn't about killing planets!"

Nigel still hadn't looked at him but his hand was near his side

"Think about your team. Hoagie, Kuki, Wallaby. They followed in your footsteps. They were there for every mission you gave them. Think about Abby. She wouldn't let you do this. Not her. And you loved her. I can see it in your eyes, you still do. Nigel, please. They wouldn't do this to you. Why are you doing it to them?" Chad asked

A tear rolled down Nigel's face. He missed his team, but he absolutely ached to his Abby again.

Maybe he was right

"Nigel!" The computer voice boomed again. "It's time"

Chad had looked at Nigel, with terror in his eyes. "Please don't do this" he begged him

"This is not who we are"

Nigel had looked at him with another tear rolling down his face

"It is now." He told him

And he pushed the button
