"Darren?" Chris called. They had been rehearsing some scenes that night and time had, apparently, slipped out of their hands, both of them finding it was almost one in the morning already.
"I want to do something in Twitter, you go ahead and I'll sleep in the couch, it's okay Chris, really," his co-worker had mumbled his mind somewhere else, more specifically, fixed on Chris' computer screen, who just shrugged it off after saying goodbye. He lazily walked to his bedroom, to change into his comfortable pajamas. After snuggling beneath the quilt and burying his head in the soft, warm pillow he felt a pang of unnecessary guilt, an usual thing in him. Why did he even have that habit? It was ridiculous "Stay here, he'll go to sleep in a while. It's not a bad thing that you're comfortable,"he thought, enjoying that delightful drowsiness invading his eyelids. He still didn't feel one hundred percent good. "Drop it," he threatened himself.
"God, I'm such an idiot," he muttered before uncovering quickly and brusquely. He dragged his feet to the living room calling his friend's name. His hand flew to his mouth when he realized what was going on. A stifled laughter came out, seeing Darren's face practically smashed against the keyboard. He had fallen asleep with his twitter account open. Chris got closer to him and stood beside the desk, watching him breathe in and out. Surprisingly, Darren was one of the few people Chris had ever seen sleeping without drooling. Actually, without having their mouths open. He in fact looked quite adorable. He caught an affectionate smile spreading on his own face but didn't care "Darren," he tried waking him up, softly nudging his shoulder and wrapping his other arm around his chest, protecting himself from the coolness impregnating the air.
"Wha…" the other boy whispered, slowly lifting his head. He squinted a bit, as though he had been asleep for hours.
"You fell asleep in front of the computer," Chris explained, loving the way Darren seemed so lost. He had an extraordinary resemblance to a puppy or a toddler "Actually, you fell asleep on… the computer. So I'm taking you to bed."
"No, no, I have to do… this," he started, straightening distractedly. The boy with sparkling blue eyes let out an ironic "Yeah," drowned by Darren's loud yawn. Chris put an arm around his waist, helping him get up "No, Chris, I'm serious, the fans are waiting—"
"The fans have had enough of you without sleeping already. You need to sleep from time to time, you know?" he retorted and interrupted the unruly haired boy, who was about to complain again "You're exhausted, so no excuses. Come on, off to bed," he persisted.
Darren finally agreed to get up so Chris didn't have to do all the hard work trailing him around. He laid Darren in his own bed softly and tucked him in. Content and rest, eyes closing already, ready to take up where he had left off.
"Good night, Dare," he said, running his fingers through that soft and dark hair for a second.
"Night Chris," he mumbled with a childish, small smile on his lips.
[RVWD] Ok, so I went through this too and found a couple of things I rather fix, so.. they are small details really and might not even be noticeable, but whatever, I'm happier with it.
Hope you like it too, and review, it makes my heart swell up.
