Earlier that day...
Last minute the theater that Zen's musical was performing at changed. He was upset about it, but who else knew that there was going to be a fire at the theater the night before? The theater he had to now perform the musical was an older one and hadn't been updated in years. There was this scene where Zen stood under a colored stage light, but when he was doing the scene and the stage light got turned on it didn't turn on. Everything happened so fast! One minute Zen was safe and sound with the light malfunctioning, a second later… It fell. The stage light was big and clunky. It was a huge stage light. After it hit Zen's head, the stage light fell onto both of Zen's legs. I screamed, "Zen!". It fell…. It wasn't just a bad dream…. I ran up to him from where I was watching backstage. Someone had already called the paramedics.
I held him, I was crying, he went unconscious. After the paramedics arrive Zen is put on a stretcher. I sat in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. During the whole ride to the hospital, Zen was unconscious. Once, I got to the hospital I was told to wait in the waiting room until I could see him by a doctor.
Now...
(Fyi readers now its going to be in present tense bc its what is going on currently)
That was a few hours ago and I haven't been told I could see him yet. Of course, this is super worrying for me, I love him! The doctor that told me that I had to wait a few hours ago comes into the room and walks over to me. "MC you can go see him now", the doctor says. I sigh in relief. The doctor leads me to the room.
