Haku had left the recording room feeling deflated. Finally, she had sang something well, made an effort that she could be proud of. But it just had to be that song.

She had let herself sink into every being of that song. She had even surprised the people in the recording room, with the power and emotion in her voice. The words slipped from her lips, as though she had said them a million times before, as though they were old and familiar. And perhaps they were. Perhaps, in a different wording, she had thought and said such things before.

Maybe deep down in her heart, she knew the reason she related so well to this song was that she was also going to be-

"Eh…?" She felt a light tugging on her arm warmer, and blinked, turning around. She was stunned when she faced a set of tearful clover green eyes, level to hers. It took her a while to realize that the eyes belonged to a face, and the face of someone she did know.

Lately, she had been talking to the equally, if not more, bashful Nigaito Shion. So much that the others had begun ridiculous whisperings that they were together! It wasn't that weird for the two of them to be talking to each other, right…?

But her heart broke in two when she saw his wide tearful eyes, so much so that she felt stinging on the edge of her own eyes. Had she done something wrong? She hadn't talked him in a while… maybe that's why he was so upset? Before she could ask, he mumbled something, as he usually does. She leant forward, just to catch what he said.

"… not true…"

"Um… E-excuse me…?"

The green haired boy drew in breath, and said, in a voice that was only slightly louder, "I-it's only a song… I-I don't think you should… I don't want you to disappear…" His face contorted, and his cheeks turned a light pink, confused himself about what he was trying to say. She coughed, a bit awkwardly.

"I'm not sure what you're trying to say, Nigaito…" She was shocked even more by what he did next. He took both her hands in his, although his hands were covered by his overly long sleeves, and stared her with such strength.

"In the room… Y-you sounded like… you really believed those words… like… you thought y-you were… or should…" He gulped, and flushed brighter, but didn't break his gaze. "I… I don't think you should… B-because… even though everyone says you're flawed… I think… you're…" He squeaked something, before letting go of her hands, and running away, around a corner, and vanishing from sight.

Haku stood there for a few moments. Her feelings were in turmoil. The sadness from her relation to the song, her confusion from Nigaito's sudden courage, and her happiness at what the green haired boy had said. Finally it all became too much for her, and she cried. She cried, as the words he had said resounded in her head. It was like an ointment that could repair all the cracks in her heart, and soothe all the doubts in her mind. It was the sweetest thing she'd ever heard, and the kindest sing that's ever been said to her.

'I think that you're the most perfect person in the world.'
