A/N so this maybe continued but probably not. This is an idea that came to mind where one thing changes that day, and it sets off a chain of events that leads to a different Helga Arnold relationship then the one we're used to.
She had been staring at Arnold the boy with the oddly shaped head. He was the first person she could think of that had given her a compliment and she couldn't help but smile and tousle her bow.
She was so busy stuck in her thoughts that she hadn't noticed that Harold was stealing her crackers. She reached out for her crackers and turned just in time to see them being devoured by Harold the 7-year-old preschooler. Her eyes started to fill with tears but before she could say or do anything a boy- Arnold- was holding out a plate of crackers for her.
"Want to sit with me?" The young 3-year-old Arnold asked holding out a plate of crackers for her. He had noticed Harold had stolen her crackers and was hoping that doing this would make her happy.
Helga looked at him wide-eyed. "Huh?"
He motioned to the table opposite her own. He frowned at Harold before turning back to the young blonde pigtailed girl. "Want to sit with me?" He repeated.
She didn't even notice that the other kids were watching. She smiled and nodded. "Ok"
"Ha! Ha!" Harold screeched. "Look at that, Arnold and Helga are in Lo-ve!"
Arnold noticed that Helga had paused her fear betraying on her face. Before it went angry she turned and pushed Harold down.
"Shut up!" She screeched. "Or you'll have to deal with Old Betsy and the⦠the five Avengers!"
"Old who and the five what?" Harold asked looking confused.
"My fists stupid that's their names," She said. Before stomping toward Arnold. She addressed the rest of the class. "I'm going to sit With Arnold and his friend; anyone have a problem with that?" She asked angrily. w
The entire class shook their head in unison.
Helga smiled, "Good" and she turned and went to sit at Arnold and Gerald's table, while Arnold just stared at her in shock, and maybe just slight fascination.
