The Man That Got Away
They never actually got together. They were never really friends, but he was always nice to her and she tried her best to be nice to him. MNM might have said they believed in her, but she knew it wasn't true. It wasn't like he said anything about believing in her either, it was kind of implied.
MNM just kept her around for eye candy. They used her for everything, made her do things she didn't want to, but she did it anyway. She knew exactly what was going on yet she didn't run and tell somebody who might help her. But every time she went off to find someone she remembered there weren't many people who would be willing to help her, in fact no body would. People thought that everything was cool with Melina, Mercury, and Nitro but it was just the opposite. She couldn't stand them, yet people thought she loved them or something like that. The man that she loved was right in front of her the whole time.
She has done horrible things to him and wishes she could take them all back. But she can't. She can't just take back the sexual harassment lawsuit against him. She can't take anything back, which she has ever done to him. Now knowing this, Melina knows the man she loves will ever talk to her. She calls him the man that got away.
She tried writing him a note, but never gave it to him.
Dear Batista,
I fucked up. I never should have listen to those jerks. I should have ran when I had the chance. Now I have to live with knowing that you are the man that got away. I just wanted you to know that I am sorry. I am sorry for everything I have ever done to you. Please forgive me.

Who knows maybe she will give him the note soon just to get away from MNM. Or maybe she will give him the note to see if he feels the same way and can forgive or forget. But for now Batista is the man that got away.
