A very short poem that came to me when reading (again, pfft) deathly hallows, specifically the Battle of Hogwarts. This is in the PoV of a light wizard (any light wizard) fighting against the dark, or well...you know.
Bring on the night of my life,
May the stars guide the way,
May they help me defeat all odds,
When darkness takes the day.
I'll sing the song of my life,
For I have nothing left to say,
But ill fight until my life is through,
When darkness takes the day.
