AN: No clue where this really came from, I was trying to write a poem since I usually think that they end up horrible. It was supposed to be about me, but of course, it turned Huddy.

Set, post-finale.

No Need

Wait there,

No wait – don't.

Not yet, later.

We can meet there at five.

Oh, no – not now,

Didn't you give her up?

Or move on long ago?

I was sure, for once,

That were was a change,

Even though we though we never would.

It was waiting for us,

Arms open, ready for a new beginning.

I had my chance,

To chase after what I wanted.

Dreams have come and gone,

For, this whole time,

You've stayed on my mind.

Waiting in useless, we know it.

Eyes shinning with tears,

They were the only things that showed.

But not anymore,

I don't want to keep running.

We would have jumped before,

You know we would have.

But we found joy elsewhere,

We wanted to go our separate ways,

And maybe you did,

But I, I never did.

I chased the stars,

The moon, the sun;

Hoping that the memories could end.

Time after time,

I wanted a new beginning,

Hoping the sadness would fade away.

But it never did,

It never could.

You were what I wanted.

No need to wait,

No need to run,

No need to hide;

From anything.

No matter where we run,

Alone or together,

Pain follows our steps.

But with your hand in mine,

I'm home.

There's no need to wait,

No need to hide.

My hand is in yours,

And you stay by my side.

Your eyes gaze into mine,

Then somehow, I know,

We're okay.
