"No Inuy! Don't go! He's lying!"
"I'm sorry..."
Jaka awoke from his dream with a start. He realized he was covered in sweat and his sheets were in a tangle around
his legs. He sat up, dangling his legs from the side of his bed and jumped down quietly as to not disturb his sleeping
friend.
"Just a dream," he thought. "Just a dream."
But the dream had been too real to just forget about. Inuy had been turning to the dark side, walking away with a
man shrouded in mystery by a dark cloak. Jaka dreamt some invisible force bound down his arms and legs and he could do
nothing but beg his friend not to go. Physically, the setting was in the humid jungles of Yavin, and Inuy had been walking
into one of the deserted temples that littered the planet. That particular temple had a choking sense of evil to it, at
least in his dream it did.
He shook his head and walked toward the shower, planning to take a nice warm one and then going back to sleep.
When he returned, he finished drying his hair and was about to climb on his bunk when he saw Inuy body...shading. There
was no other word for it. His body became increasingly more like a shadow and not a body. Jaka's eyes went wide and his
lightsaber instantly jumped to his hand from under his pillow. He activated it with a sharp snap-hiss, filling the room
with a soft white light. He called upon the Force and was nearly overwhelmed by the amount of evil he sensed in his room.
"Who's there? Come out! You are not going to take my friend, Sith!" He knew there was nothing he could do about
it with his blade and he quickly extinguished it, letting the Force flow into his body as if he had just opened a tap. He
pinpointed the location of his friend's assailant and flung his hand toward it, using a powerful Force shove. In his mind's
eye, the enemy did not budge at all. It just stood there, shrouded in its cloak unmoving, wavering like a holoprojection
gone bad. Suddenly it started to laugh. It was a deep, evil, ominous laugh that made Jaka's skin crawl. The evil grew
stronger in waves and he backed up against the wall, feeling dizzy and lightheaded.
"Foolish Jedi" was what it said simply before Jaka lost consciousness. The last thing he saw was his friend's body
disappear into nothingness, and then it was all black.
He awoke with Tionne at his side. She immediately asked him, "What happened?"
"Inuy, dark side, shade, NO!" was the last thing he said before he fell into another dreamless sleep.
