I was drowning in a huge lake with salty water, gasping for air. "Help! Help!" I yelled, but no one came. I suddenly woke up and realized it was just a dream. I was in the warriors den, awake, and alive. "AHH!" I yelled as Petaltail zoomed in. "Hi Shattereddreams!" She mewed, and I let out a sigh of relief. "Want to go hunting? I need to talk to you." I asked, and Petaltail nodded, looking a little scared, then I walked into the warmth of greenleaf, I mewed in delight and stretched. Petaltail followed as I walked into the forest, and we continued farther, until we reached the end of the territory. "Petaltail.. I-I love you." I murmured, and she gasped. "I know this is weird because we are both she cats, but I have loved you since I opened my eyes as a kit." I meowed, and Petaltail nodded. "It is not weird. Remember when I used to love Reedtail?" She mewed, and I nodded. "I have feelings for you too." She murmured. I then saw Leaftail staring at us. He ran back to camp and I shrugged. "It wont matter." I meowed and nuzzled Petaltail. "Shattereddream.." She whispered as I licked her cheek. "I love you too." She purred. We are still mates to this day, and don't care about the criticism. Because love can happen with anyone, even if they are the same gender. Love is love.
