The Night Before
By Fred the Greatest Red Head
A/N- This is my first story so please be nice. I don't own anything. J.K. Rowling owns anything in the story that's in the Harry Potter books.J
Cedric couldn't sleep. There was a full moon outside and it was casting light through the window and onto the floor. It was the light that made him not able to sleep. He decided to get up and look out the window. He could see the maze he'd be running through tomorrow. His thoughts went to the Triwizard Tournament.
"I would really like to win the tournament," Cedric thought to himself. "That way Hogwarts would win and my parents would be proud of something I've ment to do. Plus, Hufflepuff would be known around the school more. I don't really want to win it for the money. Even though it would be nice to have it."
He shifted his gaze towards the moon. It was behind a cloud, but you could still see the odd, eeire glow to it. Off in the distance, Cedric thought he heard a howl.
"Are there werewolves out in the Forbidden Forest?" he thought. "No. It was probably just my imagination. But then, it is a full moon."
He stood there for a minute looking towards the Forbidden Forest. Then his mind went back to the tournament.
"What if I don't win. What if Harry, Fleur, or Viktor wins? What would my father think of me? What would Cho think?
"I shouldn't be thinking of things like that. It will make me more nervous than ever. Think positive. I need to have more confidence about myself.
"Alright. Harry and me are tied with points. If I can just get throught the maze first, I'll win the tournament."
Cedric looked at the other beds in his dormitory. His friends didn't have to think about what he had to think about. They just had to think about who might win. But, he was glad they didn't have to go through the nerve wracking things he had to.
"I guess I should get back to sleep. It's pretty late," he whispered quietly to himself.
As Cedric walked over to his bed and climbed in, he said to himself, " I'm going to win this tournament."
