Poppy was walking outside with her friends when she passed Anubis house. She thought she'd annoy her brother and went inside. "Hey Jerome. How's my favorite brother today?" She asked."Got more dresses to model in?" She said reffering back to the picture she put in the school hall.
Jerome paused with what he was doing as soon as he heard his little sister's voice. He turned around to glare at her. "Your boarding dorm is over there, Poopy. Now run along with your little friends."
"Maybe I came to see Mara. She's a last time I checked you can visit people who live in other houses." She said crossing her arms.
"Alright then" he replied, tilting his head slightly to the side. "Mara's room is upstairs to the left."
"I know where her room like I said, maybe I came to see Mara. I didnt... You know, this house is much bigger then mine? Maybe I'll ask to let me move here. Then we can see each other all the time. I mean, family should stick together right?" She said smiling while crossing her arms.
"You'd have to be in my grade to do that, Poppy" he replied. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "I didn't know you missed your big brother so much" Jerome taunted, extending his arms in a mock hug.
"Who says I miss you?" Poppy said backing away from his open arms.
Jerome laughed, "You just admitted a few five seconds ago." His laughing expression quickly changed to curiosity. "So why are you really here? It sure can't be because you're visiting me?"
"I admit nothing!" Poppy shouted. "And I was just curious if there were anymore of my hidden letters from dad that you dont want me to know about?" She asked hoping he would say yes.
"No, Poppy" he simply replied, preparing himself to go to his room.
"Your lying." She said.
He let out a loud sigh and bent down to be at her height level so his blue gaze met hers. "That's the only one, Poppy. I know you're eager to know more about him.. but I don't have anything good to say about him. I'm sorry."
"Fine." She said knowing she wouldnt get anything more out of him. Poppy then walked away but turned back. "Im sure your friends would love see you in moms blouse. Remember that day when you were playing in the mud and had no clean clothes?"
He dodged her question. "Why do you have pictures of me in the first place?"
"Havent I already answered that question?"
He smiled. "Right, forgot" he answered, slapping his forehead with that palm of his gand. "Off you go then." Jerome spun her around by her shoulders, giving her a soft shove towards the exit.
"Hey! No wonder mom and dad left you here." She then walked outside to see where her friends went.
Her words stung him as he stood motionless for a few minutes. He gritted his teeth and turned to walk away, in a foul mood.
