Hey there, people! After disappearing off the face of fanfiction, this one is kinda short - sorry about that, but I came up with this idea AGES ago, and I loved it too much to not post it ;)
Be warned, every Brooklyn lover is going to hate him after this :P
And there is ALSO character death! Enjoy~

"Hello, dear fella. How are you today?"
Garland stopped in his tracks on listening to Brooklyn's voice. The Zeus-wielder was alone in his room. So who was he talking to?
Out of curiosity, Garland leant down to peep in through the keyhole. Inside, Brooklyn was standing in front of a flower pot, talking to the inanimate object.
"So you wanna know more about my past?" Brooklyn said. "Well, my childhood wasn't actually the best, and there's nothing interesting about it. You still want to listen?"
Outside the room, Garland nodded subconsciously, genuinely intrigued. Brooklyn kept mostly to himself and they'd never known about his past, so he did some quick-thinking and seized the opportunity. Of course, what Brooklyn doesn't know won't hurt him.
"Okay, I'll tell you an incident that happened when I was a boy."
"I'd just woken up from a nap around seven in the evening. My mother was cleaning up the dishes from lunch. I went up to her and said, 'Mommy, I had a nightmare.'"
"She smiled at me and said, 'It's alright, dear. It didn't really happen. Do you want to tell me about it?' I nodded."
"She wiped her hands on her green apron and sat down next to me on a chair. I began telling her my story."
"'In my nightmare, a black shadowy figure, made entirely of eyes killed Daddy. Then they came for me, and were just about to kill me. They were.. scary. They stared at me angrily."
"'And then..?' My mother urged softly."
"'They- they agreed to spare me. If- if I.. I promised to distract you as they crept up behind you, so you won't notice. I'm sorry, Mommy.'"
"Just then, the floorboards behind her creaked, and Mother's face paled. That was the last time I'd seen her. The black eyes engulfed her, and when they were done, there was no Mommy." Brooklyn finished.
Outside, Garland tried hard to stifle his laughter. But he accidentally let a giggle escape. Realising what just happened, he tried to make a hasty exit. But Brooklyn had already opened the door and spotted him by then.
"Garland. What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice cold. When Garland didn't answer, he repeated his question louder this time.
"I was just passing by and heard you talking to someone. But you were alone in your room, so I thought I'd check..." He trailed off to see Brooklyn's loathing glare aimed at him.
"And that made you laugh?"
Garland hung his head down to hide his bemused expression. "Your story was a complete fake," he muttered.
"What?" Brooklyn's face twisted in rage. Visible black aura surrounded him.
"You don't believe it? You don't believe my story?"
"That wasn't what I meant, I didn't intend to hurt you-"
"Silence! Now you'll see for yourself... What's fake and what's not." Saying so, Brooklyn summoned Zeus.
Garland's eyes widened visibly as he saw the bitbeast morph in front of him. He could clearly make out a black figure, composed entirely of eyes. Eyes all glaring at him in hateful vengeance.
"Brooklyn, I'm sorry!"
"It's too late!" Brooklyn cackled evilly as the eyes surrounded Garland, choking him so that the screams died down.
The eyes shrunk down to a small black ball, which shattered, leaving behind the bit-chip.
Brooklyn started laughing. A cold, psychopathic laughter. "This was my secret. Now nobody would know my secret." He grinned to himself as he stared down at the bit-chip.
"Goodbye, Garland."
So, what do you think? ;)
