The pop of a beer can, and a relaxed sigh, came from the kitchen. George comes out of the kitchen, holding a sandwich and a beer. He sits down on the couch and takes a bite from his sandwich. Some of the mustard drips out and onto his stained white shirt. He flips on the tv, and start relaxes into the upholstery. It had been a long day on the job. Finally he could just relax. He started eating, while channel surfing. After a few minutes he sees head lines that grab his attention, 'Monsters discovered'. His curiosity wins, as the broadcast begins.
"Rumors that monsters were real have been circulating through the internet for several months. These rumors seem to have started when the "real" Dracula Wolf man and Frankenstein appeared at a village monster festival, Romania around the 1st of October. These monster's said they were going to the local airport. That same day there was an unplanned return of a transcontinental flight. Several witnesses reported seeking a bat with red eyes, that seemed to be smoking hanging on to the window.
Most people dismissed these Internet rumors, as just that. Earlier today the university has announced that monsters aerial indeed real. It seems that several of these 'monsters' appeared at last week's UN council in Europe. The number of 'monsters' who were there is unknowns, but one thing we can know for sure is that we are looking at something that will change the world.
The implications of this are still unclear. We know next to nothing about these entities. What we do know are legends and bedtime stories, but even if those stories are even a little true we could be preparing to integrate with man's natural predator.
If these beings are as we know them from stories, their presence will change everything from medicine, to laws, to the current educational system. For example how would you react, if your child's bullies had the strength to flip busses? How would you catch a criminal who could walk through walls? How would a doctor aid a person with no visible eyes of hands of legs?
With all the unknowns, how can we ensure the safety of others. If all it takes to kill someone was feeding them salt, how can you ensure the fair treatment of beings who react violently to things such as metal, seats in kinds of wood, thing associated with religion?
This is why the government has create the MRA, the monster registration agency. Who better to teach us about them, than they themselves. The director of the MRA, Paul Blart, said the following, to day at a press conference. " the purpose of the MRA is to give the monsters a place to go, so that they can teach us about where they are coming from. Of course we have never faced anything like this before so the system is still far from perfect, but we are doing the best we can, to give monsters every thing they need to assimilate into human society."
How will today's events change the world? Only time will tell.

George turns off the tv. Peers into his now empty can of beer. Shakes his and says to no-one in particular 'I think that was enough, I'm going to bed'
