She was always content to live in the realm of light; she never wanted more. She could care less about the shadows of other lands; the sun was always directly above her in her world, thrusting the shadows away.
The darkness was evil to her. It was scary and horrifying; she wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
As the goody-two-shoes she was, she rarely got into trouble, and as a result was always in a good mood. Nothing threatened her ever-present smile.
As the Heartless attacked, she took no notice. All was well in her ignorant, happy world.
After all, they do say ignorance is bliss.
As the Heartless destroyed, she skipped around merrily in waves of grass and flowers.
As the Heartless finished, a boy came and jolted her out of her fantasy world. Her eyes grew wide with terror, and she froze, unable to voice the scream that lay in her throat.
Her meadow was a chunk of earth floating before a massive orb of dark energy. The orb swirled like a vortex, sucking everything in. Yet neither she nor the boy was swayed by the raging winds.
She looked to her right, at the boy, and recognition showed on her face. This boy was her friend. Best friend, in fact.
He smiled at her, enjoying the feel of the darkness. She whimpered in fear.
Her voice finally came back to her, although a faint whisper and she asked whether the light would come back. Surely it would, with her such a light-filled being!
He smirked at her, replying after a moment, that no, she was as far away from a light-filled being as a being could be; she'd been off in her fantasies while she could've rescued her friends, family, world.
He grasped her hand and led her away into the darkness.
The darkness, her greatest fear.
She cried out as it enveloped her, eating away at her flesh like acid, burning like fire.
"Welcome to darkness, love."
And then she was gone.
