It was quite beautiful outside, warm and sunny but also carrying a slight breeze so the heat wasn't quite unbearable. Summer was something to be enjoyed outside especially if you lived in a place like Konohagakure. It was the perfect weather for training, sparring– just simply relaxing.

Haruno Sakura wasn't exactly lucky enough to be able indulge in this simple luxury. Something that made her curse the gods for her luck- or more accurately, lack of. She received the luxury of sitting in her tiny office at the hospital, which appeared even smaller due

to her things that were currently strewn about everywhere. Her time was being occupied by filling out the multiple medical reports concerning patients she had seen earlier in the day. Looking at the pile, she noticed in dread that the stack only seemed to grow larger and not the opposite.

She ground her teeth in annoyance as she read and re-read the diagnosis of an un-particular Jounin that had been poisoned on a previous mission. For some reason, the words just simply refused to register into her brain, meaning her work load was not getting any easier. In fact, she could feel the tension building in her upper temple as a headache began to form…

"SAKURA-CHAAAAN!"

And that certainly didn't help.

The Kyuubi holder burst into her door rather ungraciously as he toppled over a nearby stack in the process. His trademark grin was in place as he straightened himself and ran up to her desk, chanting her name obnoxiously.

"What?" She questioned as a vein in her forehead swelled and she surveyed the damage the hyperactive ninja had just caused. She sighed knowing that yelling would get her nowhere except a one way ticket to a rather painful migraine, "What is it that you want Naruto?"

The tanned boy decided rather suddenly that his hands were more interesting than the only other human company occupying the room. He twiddled his thumbs nonchalantly as he looked around the office, trying to distract himself with something. He froze instantaneously when he felt the irritation and anger growing in his only female team mate.

"Look Naru..-"

"Can I have a picture of you?"

Taken back, the pink haired female simply stared at the boy, confusion quite evident on her features. Of all the things the fox boy could have said that was certainly not what she expected. Why in the world had he asked for that? She opened her mouth to make her inquiry aloud but was quickly interrupted.

"You see, I need to show Santa what I want for Christmas this year." He grinned widely at her.

Sakura stilled instantly, taking a few moments to process what Naruto had just said; no, more to actually question if she had heard him right. His over giddy smile gave her confidence enough that she wasn't going crazy and that she, in fact, had heard right.

Her eye twitched.

His smile grew.

And then…

Jiraiya looked up lazily from where he was lounging under the shade of a particularly large tree when he heard a large crash resound. Not a moment later the body of his apprentice appeared as it flew across the sky into the adjacent building.

"Hm… maybe I should've told him to use the one about the throwing knives instead."
