CHAPTER 1
"Ahhhhhhh!" screamed Artemis Fowl, when he looked into his extra- secure vault. The vault; which couldn't be broken by Butler, was empty; no money, no jewels, nothing. Just emptiness. Artemis was furious with himself and with Butler. How could his manservant let this happen to his family, even if Butler was injured. Just then, a gust of cold, winter wind blew at Artemis' back. He turned around, and in the blue stone wall was a gaping hole, the size of six Butlers. "Butler!" Artemis screamed.
There was complete silence, then came a call from another room. "What is it Artemis?" Butler called.
Artemis, who was shaking like crazy, replied "You had better come see this!" So within a minute Butler was at Artemis' side, staring into the hole on the wall. "How could this happen? How? I didn't even hear a slight noise!" mumbled Butler.
"Well how ever it happed I want to know by dinner time tonight! Also, I want my $6,000,000,000 back. Get to work!" Artemis screamed and walked away steaming. Before Artemis could scream another order at Butler for lunch and gun fired. Artemis spun around, to see Butler lying on the ground. Artemis raced over to Butler's side and felt his pulse. He was dead! TBC!
