My Chrimbo fic, it will be short because, and this will sound odd, I forgot Christmas, and I was reminded today by text.
Under the mistletoe (I know cliché)
Draco was at his father's masquerade ball, despite recent events, this Malfoy tradition continued. His father had only recently come to terms with Draco's relationship with Harry, it hadn't been hard to convince him, his father was drunk most of the time since the war. He looked at his watch where was Harry? He said he'd be wearing a red and gold mask with peacock feathers; the closest he's seen to this was that bloody Astoria Greengrass', the bimbo who still wouldn't except that she didn't have a chance with him, which was pink and bronze, with flamingo feathers.
Two hands covered his eyes, the left one had a silver ring on it, he was looking at the side that had forever engraved into it, the other side had a green stone in the shape of a snake. He turned around and hugged the person, a slightly shorter man in the promised red mask.
'You came!' He exclaimed genuinely surprised.
'Of course,' Harry replied, hurt 'why wouldn't I?'
'You don't have the best relationship with my father.'
'It's a healthy husband-in-law relationship.' He defended.
'You called him, and I quote,' He put on a stupid, very UnHarryIsh, voice, 'A stupid, pretentious, bottle-blond douche bag with a pimp cane.'
'But apart from that...'
'Yeah, right, do you want a drink?'
'What's the least absurdly-posh thing you have?'
'I think we may have some Chinzano in the wine cellar,' Draco said, thinking hard 'yes, we do, Aunty Dromy's husband got it for father in '67.'
'Anything less disgusting and medicineish?'
'Champagne?'
'That's the second least posh thing you have?'
'Yes.'
'Oh my god,' Harry sighed 'Ok, I'll have a glass, a big glass.'
'You mean flute.' Draco corrected him.
'I'll drink a whole tuba as long as there's alcohol in there.'
After getting the drinks, well, after getting nine or ten drinks, each, Harry and Draco had a dance, Harry's hand on Draco's slim waist and Draco's ringed hand on Harry's shoulders.
Harry guided Draco away from the main dance floor, 'Mistletoe.' He whispered into his true love's ear, and they kissed, for the first time since their wedding day, well, since earlier on their wedding day...
