Super Smash Brothers: The Return of Subspace

Prologue
An old Chevrolet pulled up to the top of a hill and stopped. It was late at night, and the passengers had a perfect view of Station Square. Those passengers were a star quarterback on the high school football team and a cheerleader. They were your typical, clueless high school couple. Reggie, the quarterback, was obviously trying to get a kiss from his ditzy high school cheerleader girlfriend; otherwise he wouldn't have taken her to the aptly titled Make-Out Peak.
"It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" Reggie slyly told his girlfriend.
"Yeah, the city looks really nice." Mia, the cheerleader, glancing at the gleaming buildings and the glow the lights from all the buildings were giving off.
"I wasn't talkin' about the city." Reggie's girlfriend blushed at his reply. Thinking of every pick-up trick in the book, he yawned and put his arm around Mia. She smiled and they started to lean in to each other, but all of a sudden, Mia heard a rustling in the bushes.
"Reggie, do you hear that? I think those bushes moved." She told her boyfriend, scared.
"It's probably just the wind." Reggie reassured his girlfriend, then leaned in again, but his girlfriend stopped him.
"I...I think someone's watching us." Reggie groaned.
"You want me to check?" Reggie said annoyed. His girlfriend nodded. He rolled his eyes and got out of the car, which he locked. He put his keys in his pocket and started yelling out,
"Hey, if anyone's watching us out here, you better start running before I find you!" Reggie waited for about two seconds, and when no one answered, he started walking to his car. When he got to his door, he reached into his pocket, but his keys weren't there. He looked around and saw them lying by a bush a few feet from the car. Now, being a dumb jock, he wasn't bright enough to just ask his girlfriend to unlock the door, and he walked toward his keys. He picked up his keys triumphantly, but after looking at them, he noticed something odd. There was a weird purple circle attached to them.
"What the hell?" he wondered. Soon, more and more of the circles came out of the bush and surrounded Reggie as he let out a scream. Meanwhile, his girlfriend looked out of the window in curiosity of her boyfriend's screams. She was horrified to see the purple circles coming out of the bush and absorbing the flailing Reggie. Suddenly, Reggie's screaming ceased. His body was sideways, facing away from Mia. She ran out of the car to check on her boyfriend, screaming.
"R-R-Reggie?" she said tapping his body. Reggie started to be surrounded by the same aurora as the purple circles. His body jerked towards Mia, who screamed as Reggie let out a horrible, monster like wail. She ran to the car, and after having trouble starting it, drove off and acciendently hit Reggie. She braked and looked back on Reggie's body, which got up and ran towards her. She slammed on the accelerator screaming and didn't look back. Reggie stopped chase and walked in the opposite direction chanting the words over and over...
