It was a silent day on the Tardis. No running from danger. Today the Doctor and Rose decided that they were just going to take a day off. Just to relax. The doctor had said something about going off to read a book. Rose thought that was odd that he would take a whole day off just to read a book. He read the book in just a few seconds. He had proven that in his previous incarnation.
Rose missed the previous Doctor. She loved the new Doctor but missed the old one. He had a different personality then this new one. This one was more approachable though friendlier. And Rose would never admit it outloud but he was cuter than the previous one. The other one was still cute though. But the new doctor was more her type. And she couldn't help but feel that she had seen him somewhere before.
Oh well Rose thought to herself. She was overall glad that she had a day off to relax. They had been doing a lot of running lately. The last planet they had been off gave them a big scare. They had just barely made it out alive. Although that was usually the case it seemed different this time. Not like the others. Rose felt that this last time it seemed more real than ever.
Rose finished her tea that she had been sipping and went to find the doctor. She guessed that he would be in the library since that's where she usually found him. She noticed that when she first started to travel with the Doctor that he did a lot of reading, running, and worked on the Tardis a lot. But during their free time she had noticed a pattern when the Doctor was aggitated he usually worked on the Tardis to calm his emotions. Unless there was something wrong with the Tardis. And other times when he was calm she noticed that he spent a lot of time reading. This wasn't the case all the time but it did seem the case most of the time. So she knew that by him reading meant that he wasn't stressed about anything for the most part.
When Rose entered the library she didn't see him at first. But then when she walked further into the library she saw him reading in a chair by a table which held a lamp. On the other side was another chair. And on the oppisite side of the chairs and table was a couch. Rose approached and sat down on the couch.
The Doctor looked up from the book he was currently reading to look at her. He had his reading glasses on. Rose wondered if he actually needed glasses cause he said when he regenerated it was like his body would heal himself. So wouldn't that heal bad eyesight too?
"So hows ur book?" Rose asked looking at the big book that lay on the Doctor's lap.
"Its good. Its about quantom theory" he said. Rose nodded she didn't really know a whole bunch about it. But she knew it was complicated. Rose was about to say something before the whole Tardis shifted and rocked. The light that was on the table fell to the ground. Rose was thrown from her position on the couch. But the Doctor thankfully caught her before she fell on the ground.
The Tardis continued to rock back and forth making frantic groans and wheezes with the occuring low thrum that it made. The Doctor quickly got to his feet and quickly rushed out of the door to the console room. Trying to figure out what was wrong with his beloved machine.
Thanks for reading. I appreaciate it a lot. Please review and tell me what you think of my story. And if you have any ideas to what should be happening to the tardis please tell me. Thanks again! :)
