Ron Weasley was all packed and ready for another day at work as an Auror at the Ministry Of Magic. He had given his wife, Hermione a kiss on the lips and stared in amazement at her growing belly before she gave a sigh and said "Oh honestly Ronald, you do this every morning" Ron loved being a father more than anything in the world and if it wasn't for Hermione's decline to have another he would have had a couple more. He was eager and anticipation was growing for the arrival of his first boy.
Before taking one last loving look back he began to head out the door before noticing he couldn't move. He looked down at his leg to find Rose latched on tight her eyes looking affectionately at her father. "Please Daddy, don't go" she sniffled. Her blue eyes were begging him not to go and to stay all day and just read her the 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' until she fell asleep in his lap.
As a father Ron always felt bad about leaving his family. At the same time he knew his job as an Auror was protecting them from harm. He got down on one knee and hugged his daughter and looked her in the eye. "Rosie, Just a few hours and I'll be right home to you. I promise."
"But dad it just isn't home without you" She said. These words made Ron both sad and proud at the same time. Sad because it hurt to leave but proud because Rose much like her mother was beyond her years. He turned around one more time and kissed her on the forehead, "Just a few hours" he said before leaving.
