Miss Kitty Fantastico

"Don't forget to close the curtains once you're done lighting the candles," instrusted Tara's voice. Willow finished lighting the last candle and blew out the match. She walked over to the curtains and closed them. In the candle light Tara's room was at its best. She felt perfectly at home. Tara's room was unlike the other college rooms because it was painted black by the previous owner, or the one before. Fairy lights danced around the room over the bookshelves full of magick books and her desk. Tara was drawing a circle of white chalk on the wooden floor boards. Earlier they had rolled back the carpet in order to do the chalking. Willow walked towards the open part of the circle and went inside. Tara completed the circle. Sitting down opposite each other within the circle they were ready. Amy the rat was in the middle of them. Holding hands the connection was instant. Ever since they had moved the vending machine in the laundry room no effort was made to connect. It was as if their energies were perfectly in tune with each other. Willow was thinking over the amount of times that she had tried to undo Amy's spell that prevented her from getting burnt at the stake, however each spell had failed. Hopefully, with two people it would work. The chanting began.

Tara closed one eye to keep on Willow. She still couldn't believe she had found someone so wonderful. Her eye travelled all over Willow from her perfectly shaped feet up to her face which was tensing due to concentration. Tara closed her eyes fully and tried not to be distracted by Willow's soft hands enclosed in hers. Soon the chanting blended in with the smell of herbs and incense and the magick began to unfold.

The energy produced from the two witches was growing immensely bigger as each witch continued to throw more and more power into the spell. A ball of sparkling blue energy was forming in the middle of the circle, it rose higher and higher, well above the witches' heads. The ball of energy went from blue to aqua to green. The two witches opened their eyes and fixed them onto the ball ready to release it on to the floor to de-rat Amy.

Outside of the circle Miss Kitty Fantastico was playing with a ball of wool when suddenly a bright light was coming from around the corner of the bed. Curiously she crept towards the ball of light. A bit frightened she stayed away but then saw what was below the energy ball. With delight she crossed the circle as the blue ball rose upwards. Amy the rat saw the cat bouncing towards her and she ran out of the way. The blue energy ball fell and landed on top of Miss Kittyfantastico!

Tara's eyes widened in shock, knowing that there was no return.

"Miss Kitty!" Shouted Willow.

The two witches backed away from the circle, positive that they had killed their cat. Willow put a protective arm around Tara's back and they watched what was happening to their cat. First the blue energy had picked up Miss Kitty a few inches and now it seemed to be stretching Miss Kitty in all sorts of shapes until she began to grow and grow and turn. human.
