Disclaimer – No matter how much I pray, the Marauders are not mine. (Although you can keep Peter – no offence!). So yeah, Harry Potter belongs to J.K Rowling, as do these lovely characters!
A/N – This is set just after Lupin finds out that Sirius had let Snape know how to get into the Whomping Willow, and well, you should know the rest. Sirius wasn't harmed in the making of this, he had a stunt double do it. Didn't want to destroy his 'dashingly good looks'.
If you see any mistakes, please tell me!
He couldn't breathe. His chest was tight, hands clenched and face covered in tears that streamed from his red-rimmed eyes, pouring down onto the bathroom floor.
This couldn't be happening. His breathing got faster, and his knuckles stung – blood slowly gathering at the grazed skin. Not that he felt it. The pain he felt was in his heart – it had caused him to throw up, punch the ground and now break down in the toilets, ready to pass out.
How could he?
His jaw clenched tight, teeth aching from the tension exerted on them. The tears fell faster, stinging his knuckles as he leaned forward more, his head now touching the tiled floor.
He heard footsteps.
It was too late to move as a gasp was heard, followed by a body dropping near him. He flinched at the hand that grabbed him, and looked up.
"Blimey, Moony – Remus – breath slowly for me, mate. Yeah? Slow it down, please!"
The boys glasses slid further down his nose as he embraced his shaking friend in a tight hug, and waited until he was sure his friend wouldn't pass out.
"James-" Lupin's voice croaked, his throat raw from all the crying. He coughed lightly, and tried again.
"James, thank-you. Thank-you for saving him. For saving me. I-"
The tears welled up again, and this time anger accompanied his voice.
"How could he, James? How could he be so careless! So stupid, self-centred, immature, INSANE!" He knew what would happen if I found him. He KNEW! I would of killed him! I would have tore him apart, bit by bit. Or worse, made Severus a monster like me! How could he? I'm going to get chucked out of school – there's nothing Dumbledore can do about it now. Everyone will find out, everyone will know the monster I am!"
"Remus, you are NOT a monster! Would we care for a monster? NO!" James was losing his patience.
"Well, it looks like Sirius never cared for me anyway." He mumbled bitterly, dragging himself to his feet, and wiping away his tears.
He was just about to leave, his body half facing the doorway when footsteps could be heard echoing down the corridor, and to the bathroom.
"Hey James, you find Moony yet? I wanted to-"
He turned into the bathroom where he knew James had been heading to before, and came face to face with a very angry, very upset Lupin.
"Remus!" Sirius gave a sigh of relief, oblivious to the fist that was slowly clenching.
"Where have you been? We need to talk"
With that, the aforementioned fist slammed into his nose, sending Sirius backwards, knocking him to the ground.
"Shit!" He grabbed his nose, trying to stop his nose from bleeding all over his robe.
"What the fuck? Look I know you're angry, mate, but did you really need to do that?"
Remus slowly walked up to Sirius, looming over him, his eyes glinting dangerously.
"Don't you ever, EVER, talk to me again."
With that, he stumbled away, leaving a worried James standing in the toilets, and a groaning Sirius fumbling for his wand, trying to fix his nose. James frowned, and pushed his glasses up.
"What on Earth are we going to do?"
A/N – Just spoke to Moony, and he is asking you all very nicely to review. For every review I get, he gets a piece of chocolate (: So tell me what you think!
