Disclaimer: I don't own Hiei, Kurama, or Yu Yu Hakusho in general. I can't draw to save my life, so don't go pointing fingers.
Fiery Love:
Hiei sat down on his cot and tugged his cloak off. A shiver went down Kurama's spine. The lithe fire demon was wearing a tight sleeveless shirt, showing his well-defined muscles. He seemed oblivious to the excitement he was causing his friend as he pulled that off as well. Kurama trembled and sighed in longing as he tore his eyes away. Hiei had no idea how he felt about him.
Kurama's eye had fallen on the fire demon during the Dark Tournament, after he'd watched his spectacular performance of the Dragon of the Darkness Flame. Hiei looked beautiful when he fought; his eyes hardened in the face of battle, his muscles rippling from exertion. It made his knees weak to watch, and even more so when they fought side by side. They made a good team.
Kurama stood up, knowing he had to get away from Hiei. As he passed the fire demon he hesitated. Hiei was just sitting there, ignoring him, taunting him with his bare chest. Sweat began to bead on Kurama's palms and he felt his body start to turn.
"What am I doing?" he asked himself at the same time he sat down alongside Hiei and draped his arm around his shoulders. The fire demon didn't flinch or move away; in fact, he seemed to relax and leaned against Kurama, who instinctively turned into him.
Neither demon spoke for a moment, Kurama's heart beating in his throat. He had been so attracted to Hiei, but now that the time came he was scared out of his wits. His mind kept telling him to stop, but his heart wouldn't allow that. Kurama ran his hand down Hiei's arm and the fire demon shivered at his touch. He'd never felt a sensation like the one that was coursing through him then.
"Don't stop," Hiei whispered when Kurama's hand came to rest on his wrist. Kurama had no idea how long he'd wanted this, how long he had been forced to watch the redhead from a distance. Everyone saw him as tough and cold, incapable of love. Everyone but Kurama, who understood him. The fox demon's touch had melted his emotional barrier, and he sat in Kurama's complete control.
Kurama heard Hiei's voice like he was underwater. Had he just…? Very gently he ran his hand down the fire demon's back, and Hiei moaned softly. He trailed his hand back up and Hiei arched his back at Kurama's touch, like a cat. Kurama's senses weren't with him as he began to stroke Hiei's chest, taking encouragement from the fire demon's moans of pleasure. Hiei tipped his head back, and Kurama realized with a jolt what he wanted.
Hiei felt the fox demon's crimson hair on his face as Kurama tipped his head down. Their eyes met for a moment in which Hiei noticed the hesitance in his friend's face. He was scared. Hiei narrowed his eyes in puzzlement and Kurama backed off, afraid the gesture had been directed at him. Did he do something wrong?
"You're scared," Hiei murmured, looking over his shoulder at Kurama. "Why?"
"I don't know," Kurama said bitterly, looking away with a sigh. "I want this, more than anything sometimes, but--" he broke off, then changed tack. "Hiei, what do you think of me?"
"I think I would have deep-fried your ass a long time ago if I didn't like you," Hiei answered, and Kurama snorted in spite of himself. "Are you convinced?"
Kurama nodded and flashed Hiei a sexy smile. The fire demon tipped his head back against Kurama's chest and smiled up at him, a true smile and not a smirk. Kurama felt Hiei's breathing on his face just for a moment before the fire demon's lips took his breath away.
