My Darlin' Singin' Cowboy!
"Howdy! I sure do appreciate this." The blond and beautiful cowboy said with his Texas twang as he climbed into what passed for a vehicle.
"No problem." Tom replied with a shrug, "I like taking my life into my own hands with strangers."
As the rich boy's slumming it Pinto began to speed away, the cowboy laughed, "I can see that." before adding, "The name's Travis by the way."
"I'm Tom." Tom answered honestly before asking, "So where you headed?"
Travis chuckled, "A dive bar called Mad Dawg's, in Fremont."
"Now there's a coincidence," Tom admitted, "I'm heading to Fremont also, my girl and her idiot brother and his band need bailing out."
"Ouch!" Travis winced, "Be there, done that."
Both boys chuckled before falling into a comfortable silence.
It lasted for about fifteen minutes before Tom felt the call of nature and announced, "I'm pulling over, I need to take a leak."
Travis nodded, "Good idea."
That left Tom feeling a bit perturbed, but he just shrugged it off and found a shady spot on the silent highway to park the Pinto.
The perturbed feeling only grew once Tom found himself standing on the edge of the ditch, pants unbuckled and whizzing away when a pair of cowboy boots appeared in his line of vision.
Then a second, much louder whizzing sound joined his own orchestra.
"Been holdin' it for a while." Travis grunted at Tom's side.
Tom wondered why Travis was so close and turned his head to ask when he caught sight of Travis in all his manhood, and found himself staring.
A chuckle brought him back to reality, and it was with embarrassment that he looked up to see Travis looking right at him with a big old grin on his face.
"It's a beaut ain't she?" Travis said with a big belly laugh while finishing up and zipping things back up.
'Ok, now I feel awkward.' Tom thought while his own bladder emptied out, 'Let's just get to Fremont and then I'll never have to think about this again.'
After get back into the Pinto, Tom had barely just put the key into the ignition when a larger, more calloused hand landed on top of his.
"You don't have to do that just yet," Travis drawled, his voice thick and his eyes flashing with a strange intrigue that made Tom feel very uncertain.
"Uh... why?" Tom stammered.
Travis smiled, "Because I've thought of a way to thank you, lil cowboy."
"H-how?"
Travis said nothing, instead he leaned in and before Tom could do or say anything felt Travis's lips press against his own.
It only lasted for a few seconds, but for Tom it felt like a blissful forever.
Tom pulled back and muttered, "Dammit! Dammit, dammit, dammit!"
Travis shrugged, "I liked it too."
"That's not funny!"
"I know..." Travis purred before both men crashed into each other, their tongues wrestling together while their bodies ached for the other's touch.
And then Tom pulled back and said the first thing his confused and hormonal mind could come up with it.
"I... I think we should find a motel."
"Sounds good to this here cowboy." Travis growled, his voice husky with the things he planned to do with Tom in that motel room.
As Tom turned on the ignition and made a U-turn, headed for the last such building he had seen earlier, he did have a brief moment of guilt at the thought of Jane and Co languishing in jail.
'Aw screw it!' Tom thought dismissively, 'I'll just say that the car broke down, it's believable.'
Then with that decision made, Tom and Travis headed off into the sunset for what would turn into the start of a lifetime together.
Leaving Jane Lane and Mystik Spiral in the dust.
