Hello, I'm back! Man, it's been a couple months since I've written GMD fanfiction or ANY fanfiction for that matter! Anyway, enjoy this short and sweet Halloween story.

At the Flaversham residence, Olivia and Fidget were dressing up in their Halloween costumes. Olivia was dressed as an angel. Fidget was dressed as a vampire.

"Looking pretty and cute, Livy," Fidget said, straightening his bowtie.

"Thank you, Fidget," replied Olivia, "You look nice, as well."

"Thanks," Fidget chuckled. "I dress like this every year, since I was a kid. Even my parents dressed like vampires."

"Oh, hopefully not evil vampires," Olivia gasped.

"Nah, not all vampires hurt anybody, Olivia," Fidget assured her, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Others can do good deeds. They can be friendly."

Olivia smiled weakly and nodded.

Seeing that the mouse girl was feeling better, he changed the subject. "Are you ready?"

"Ready."

"Ready, kids?" Olivia's father asked.

"Yes, Daddy!" Olivia and Fidget said simultaneously.

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Let's go get some goodies!" Mr. Flaversham said as he, his daughter, Olivia and her friend walked out the door.

Basil was making experiments in his "mad scientist" form when he heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?" he said, pausing his work.

"See for yourseeelf," Fidget said in an eerie ghoulish voice.

Basil went to open the door.

"Trick or treat!" Olivia, Fidget, and Olivia's dad shouted.

Basil gave the trio candy.

Dawson, who was dressed as a wizard, handed everyone each a caramel apple. "Happy Halloween."

Basil sighed. As happy as he was to see Fidget, Olivia, and her father come over, he couldn't help but look away in fear, hiding his true feelings.

"Basil, what's wrong?" Olivia asked him.

Once again, Basil sighed. "It's not you, Olivia dear, or Fidget or your father," he replied, "It's just that Halloween is one of my least favorite holidays."

"And why is that?" Flaversham inquired.

"Because it's hard to catch criminals if there is any on the loose. That's why I turn to making experiments on my chemistry set and playing my violin."

"You don't have to catch criminals on Halloween," Dawson told him.

"I don't?" Basil cocked an eyebrow.

"This is my first Halloween with you guys," Fidget stated. "I don't want to miss out on another one." He sniffed.

"That's right because most of your Halloweens were spent working for Ratigan," said Basil. It was true. Those Halloweens were the worst for Fidget after all these years he'd spent, working for that rat. Thankfully, that was why the bat turned to the heroes for help.

"Yes, they were," Fidget continued, "But I also celebrated my first Halloweens with my parents."

"Ah." Basil nodded in recognition.

"So you can join us?" Dawson asked.

"It'll be fun," Fidget declared, "Think of the candy."

"And the adventures!" Olivia finished.

"What do you have to say to that, Basil?" Mrs. Judson, Basil's housekeeper said, then offered, "I'll hand out candy."

Basil shrugged in defeat, but relented. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get Toby!"

"Yay!" they cheered.

Basil and Dawson led the Flavershams and Fidget to Toby's home. At just the right moment, Toby came hopping about excitedly in his ghost-dog costume.

"Toby, are you ready to go trick or treating?" Basil asked.

Toby nodded rapidly with a pumpkin basket handle in his mouth as he carried his basket. He leaned down to let on his five riders and he dashed out into the night.

Toby walked his passengers through the streets of London, watching each trick or treater and guardian pass by.

"See any criminals?" Dawson asked, in case Basil decided to look for any.

"No," replied Basil, "That's not what I was here for. I'm here to celebrate Halloween."

"I was just making sure because if there is any, I can help you make them disappear in an instant." Dawson waved his wand and stabbed the air to make his point.

"Are you scared, Basil?" asked Fidget.

"No, I'm going to enjoy Halloween with all of you."

Fidget shrugged his shoulders. "Just thought I'd ask."

Toby found a good place to stop and wait in line for trick or treaters to get their treats.

Basil and his gang hopped off and knocked on the door. A mouse woman in a witch costume opened it for them.

"Trick or treat!" Basil and company exclaimed.

The mouse in a witch costume threw candy in each of their pumpkin buckets, including Toby's.

"Nice dog you have, the lady said sweetly as she pet Toby.

Every house they six friends stopped at they knocked on the door and said "trick or treat", then got candy. Simple as that. Later, they stopped at Fidget's parents' house and Fidget knocked on the door. As soon as they answered, he hugged them, happy to see them.

"Happy Halloween, Mom and Dad!" Fidget beamed.

"Happy Halloween, son!" Fidget's father said.

"Happy Halloween, Fidget!" Fidget's mother said.

"You're all welcome to come in," Fidget's dad told them.

"Would you like some cookies?" Fidget's mom asked and they gladly grabbed some cookies for the road.

"Fidget, how's your Halloween?" asked Fidget's dad.

"It's great, Dad," Fidget replied, "We stopped at Basil's and talked him into going with us for Halloween."

"And how did that go?" Fidget's mom asked.

"Basil didn't want to go at first because it's hard for him to catch criminals, but we told him he didn't have to catch criminals and eventually, he came with us."

"And how is everything with you and Olivia?" his mom asked.

"Great, Mom." Fidget hugged his parents for the last time and joined the group. "Bye, Mom and Dad! Happy Halloween!"

"Happy Halloween!" Fidget's parents exclaimed as they watched their son and his friends leave.

The last place they stopped at was the queen's castle in Buckingham Palace. When the queen heard a knock, she simply said, "Come in."

With great pleasure, Basil and the others opened the door and said, "Trick or treat!" She passed them candy and offered them to come sit down for hot tea.

After their tea was consumed, they thanked the queen and said, "Happy Halloween, Your Majesty!"

"Happy Halloween!" she exclaimed back.

When everyone returned to Baker Street, Basil warned the Flavershams, "Make sure Fidget doesn't eat too much candy." He turned to Fidget. "Got that, Fidget?"

"What?" Fidget clearly didn't hear anything Basil said.

"Don't eat too much candy."

"Got it," Fidget said.

"Have a nice walk home!" Dawson said as the Flavershams and Fidget started to part.

"Happy Halloween!" they all said.

The End

Happy Halloween!
