You: james was walking down the hall trying to skip potions class. but he ran into lily evens. knocked her books out her hands.
"Great.." she said looking at her books. "Oh, Potter.." she sighed after seeing who bumped into her.
"oh hey evens, you skipping class too?" he said "What? No!" she looked at him. "I don't have classes now, but are you?"
"no i got free period." he lied. brushing a hand through his hair. "here let me help." he said picking up some of her books.
She picked up the rest "Thanks" she said. "You stay away from Severus."
"k i will." he said laughing "but i can't speak for Sirius" he laughed again.
Lily didn't laugh. "You are making his life a living nightmare, please stop" she said looking him directly in the eyes.
he laughed one more time. "awe come on evens we're just having a laugh."
"It's absolutely not funny James."
"yeah ok" he smiled. but it faded. "ok evens i'll leave him alone."
"Thank you" now she smiled too. "What are you going to do?"
"i don't know. maybe go sit by the black lake till class, wanna join me?" he asked her.
"Uhh, sure." she said and smiled again.
"really? yeah ok lets go" he said smiling like an idiot.
"yes" she followed him to the lake and sat down under a tree.
he sighed. and leaned his head on the tree looking up. "so evens snape ask you out yet?"
"No, and he won't, we're just friends" she looked at him.
"oh yeah sure, sure. but not by the way he looks at you." ha said still looking at the sky through the branches of the tree.
"What do you mean?" what was he doing. Did he just say Severus liked her?
"he looks at you like he should own you" he said looking at her now. "i don't like it"
"We're just friends, nothing more. And there won't be more. Why don't you like it?" she asked blushing, looking to her feet.
"cuz i don't think anyone should own you. i think... oh never mind" he said getting up and walking to the edge of the water.
Lily looked at him. "Tell me" she said.
"no its stupid. and class is gonna start soon. you don't want to be late for your class with snape."
"There's nothing between me and Severus! But if you want me to leave I'll just go.." she stood up.
"fine..." he said staring at the is this so damn hard. he thought. "i...just..." he said but more to himself than her. he loved he but it was to hard to say.
Lily turned around and looked at him. "You just...?"
"i just...i think...i l..." he said stumbling. "go out with me!" he blurted he turned to look at her. getting ready to be yelled at and told no.
Lily was a bit shocked first, she couldn't move. "James..I..uhh" "yes.." she whispered.
he stared at her lost for words. then he said "lily don't lie. don't trick me. i told you i'll leave snape alone. don't do this to get me back."
"No James, I will. I am serious.." she blushed.
"really, you'd go out with me?" he asked even though he was walking up to her. to put his arms around her.
"Yes, I will James" she gave him a little kiss.
he pulled her close and kissed her like he'd been dreaming about every night. when the kiss broke apart they both were breathing heavy.
She put her arms around his neck and smiled. "I love you James" she whispered, still breathing heavy.
"ha you said it first." he said smiling. "i love you too lily."
She laughed. What would Severus say? " Please stop bullying Severus from now, promiss me"
"i promise, and i'll talk to the guys." he said kissing her again softly.
