Hi! so this is just a short one-shot but I could continue. You'll all have to leave me comments and let me know how you like it and if i should expand it to a full story. Hope it's good, i'm really out of practice! No copyright infringement intended, I own nothing Doctor Who.

"Because I'm real. Because you're here. Because there are more stars in the heavens than dreams in your head and I could still show you all of them." Without moving, Rose stared at the man who should not be even be there but somehow was. The Doctor stood in front of Rose looking for all the world like he'd never left. The first one. Her first Doctor at least. Tall, leather jacket, big ears, northern accent and every bit as impossible as he had always been.

"Doctor? How could you be back here and how could you be- You!?"

"It's a long story, really, thousands of years long and honestly I don't want to tell it right now. You know what I want to do? I want to make a new story. One that still has you in it, Rose Tyler.

It's a lot to explain but there's only one thing you need to know; We could do this. I could stay. That's not the hard part. The hard part is making sure once we have done our part in the grand scheme of things and the grand scheme of things turns entirely on it's head, that we don't fall down. If we just changed the entire world to be together then we have to be sure that we're going to stay that way."

Rose let out the deep breath she'd been holding and it felt like it was the first time she'd really been able to breathe in years. There was no choice to make, not really. She was Rose. He was The Doctor.

"We already changed the entire course of the universe the day we met and I have no intention of ever changing it back."

He smiled so softly it was almost imperceptible but she could see it and the warmth of it soaked through the atmosphere. It was changing, just like he'd said. The world was shifting yet again, swirling around them as they stood so perfectly still. Together.

"So, what do we do now?" Rose asked after's a moment's hesitation. She was so afraid she was going to suddenly wake up and find it had all been yet another dream. He smiled again, this time a wide grin just like she'd remembered.

"We run. Yes, We run, Rose Tyler."

"Why? Where?" She asked, her suspicion of this all being a dream only reinforced by him repeating those first words. The Doctor's smile faded a little and he sighed, "Because time is not on our side. If i'm being honest, I would imagine time is pretty annoyed with me right now actually."

"What did you do?" Rose asked, holding his hand so tightly it would've caused anyone else pain. If it did him, he didn't show it.

"I won!" He crowed, " I found a loophole in the fabric of time and jumped through it to get to you. It'll mend itself soon and we have to be quicker than it is if we want to make sure it can't redo what we've undone if you follow."

"Follow?" Rose said with a strange laugh. "I'm already dizzy trying to follow the circles you talk in but i'll follow you anywhere anyway soo... come on then, Doctor, let's run."
