I put a spell on you
A few sunbeams fell on Billy's face as he lay against his boyfriend's stomach, his insides twisting at what he was about to say.
"Teddy?"
"Uh huh."
"We need to talk."
Teddy shifted a little and Billy turned to look him in the eye.
"You're not pregnant, are you?"
Billy gave him a small shove. "This is serious."
"You wouldn't consider you being pregnant serious?"
"Teddy, please, I'm…I'm having a hard time saying this."
Teddy propped himself up onto his elbows. "What?"
"How long have you…have you known you liked men?"
Teddy scratched his nose. "I dunno…sine I was nine, I guess, so…seven, maybe eight years?"
"How long have you known you liked me?"
Teddy smiled, leaned over and kissed him. "Since the moment we met."
"So it didn't just come on in the middle of the night?"
"What are you talking about?"
Billy started staring at the floor. "On the first night we met- you know, as Avengers- I- I really, really liked you. And I didn't know what I could do back then, so I promise I didn't do it on purpose, and, and-" Teddy leaned and grabbed his hand.
"Babe, what is it?" Billy was crying quietly.
"I…I changed your mind!"
"What?"
"I, I was just thinking to myself 'I wish Teddy liked me', and then the next day, you came in and then we started…and, now I know how my powers work, and I just think…I think I made you like me."
There was a long pause, and Billy slowly wiped away his tears.
"Billy," Teddy whispered, "…that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard."
"What?"
"I didn't just wake up and think 'That Billy Kaplan, he's great!' I already thought that. I didn't say anything at first because I didn't know if you felt the same- but I've always liked you."
"You have?"
"Uh huh." They kissed again.
"So I didn't put a spell on you?"
"Well," Teddy's hands started to run up and down Billy's back, "I wouldn't say that."
