RILEY'S POV

Today was a great day. I woke up to the sounds of cheerful blue birds chirping in the bright green oak trees. I looked at my alarm clock decorated with purple and pink flowers. The time read 6:38. Oh no! I would be late for class! Why didn't Maya wake me up? Maya is my best friend. We met when we were young and have been besties ever since. We always walk to the subway together, and we usually go at 6:15! I hope we don't miss our train. Suddenly I hear a tap on my window and see Maya! I fly out of bed, still wearing my favorite bunny pajamas, and rush to the window and open it. Maya smiles at me, blondish brown hair covering her emerald green eyes. Her hair was so long that it covered the designs on her jean jacket and yellow undershirt. She was wearing jeans that covered her feet. When she got up to climb in the window, her jeans revealed that she was wearing no shoes!

"I know, I was in a rush and I didn't even put on shoes, but your house is so close that I barely even had to walk!" She explained. "Plus I left some shoes over at your place, so I figured I could wear those." Maya said, laughing.

"Wow Maya, you really are a free spirit. I am so glad that we got your personality back!" I replied, grinning.

A few months ago Maya realized that she was becoming exactly like me! She dressed like me, she acted like me, she did everything like me! So we took her to Shaun's house, where he helped her become herself, and also fell in love with her mom. So now Maya has her personality back, and a totally cool dad. Did I mention that Shaun is my dad's best friend? They even have a bay window, just like me and Maya!

"So, you still wanna hit the subway?" Maya asked. "I am pretty sure we still have time."

"Duh! Come on or we will miss it!" I say excitedly.

"Um, you forgetting something?" Maya laughs.

Oh, right. I still have to get dressed. I put on something quick, a red dress with white flowers on it, plus a black head band and black boots. I throw Maya's shoes at her, and she catches them with a laugh. We quickly say bye to my family and rush to the subway. We arrive to see our train close it's doors and leave. Great, we missed the subway.
