Chloe:

The only thing Chloe looked forward to when she goes to school is Mr. Riordan's English class. Math was difficult as the numbers and signs liked to mess with her over active ADHD mind, the P.E coach was the meanest man to have ever existed and the, and history was taught by a teacher who was so old he probably witnessed many of the events he talked about first hand.

Mr. Riordan, however, was much different. His English 1 Honors class was how classes should've been run in her opinion. While they did learn English and English concepts, all of it was tied into something else. That something else always had something to do with ancient legends that existed around the time when humans wasted paper. Throughout the year, Chloe had learned about the legend of Percy Jackson and his friends who, just like her, had ADHD and Dyslexia. When it began, Chloe had dreamed about being a half-blood who went on adventures with them.

Sadly, that was not how the real world worked. Even if they existed, they would've died out a very long time ago with the exception of Grover Underwood, Greek God of Nature.

As she walked into Mr. Riordan's class, she spotted a desk that was surrounded by the two best people in the school. The two other students had been her friends ever since they were in Kindergarten. "Hey Sam, hey Isla." Chloe said as she sat down.

"Wassup Chloe?" Sam asked.

"Did you bring any food?" Isla asked. That was just her way of saying 'Hey Chloe. How are you?' Isla was always hungry. She carried the weight well enough though.

The three of them were often considered to be the best looking, yet least popular, people in the entire school simply because of their addiction to old stories that no one had time to care about.

Chloe shook her head as she reached into her bag and handed Isla an apple. "I'm doing great, how about you two? How'd your assignments go?"

Yesterday, Mr. Riordan gave them an assignment. His assignment was to pick any Greek hero who had ever existed and right about them. This could be anything be it a poem, a short story, a news article, whatever idea crossed their minds. Chloe had spent all night, almost literally, doing a mock interview about how Percy Jackson's first arrival at Camp Half-blood. How Percy single handedly ripped the horn off the Minotaur's head and shoved it straight into its ribcage.

She was quite proud of the interview she had created. However, her friends always had to outdo here. It was just in Isla's nature and Sam's brain capacity.

They both had written five page essays on two different heroes. Sam had a five page essay about Percy Jackson's quest through the Sea of Monsters while Isla captured the heroic tale of Leo Valdez sacrificing himself for the world by blowing himself, and by extension Gia, up.

Chloe sighed as she showed them her one page. Isla smiled at her. "Ha, I did more than you."

"More doesn't always mean better." Sam said, "Remember when Mr. Riordan showed us this ten page essay that received a zero?"

Chloe smiled at same. They may be exes to each other, but that didn't kill their friendship. If anything, it strengthened it.

Isla stared at Sam. "Shut up seaweed brain."

Sam smiled at her. "Thank you wise girl."

The three of them laughed as the bell rang. Their heads turned forward as a middle aged man entered the classroom. "Hello everybody." Mr. Riordan said, "I hope you all have your writing assignments to turn in. Now if you would please pass them to the front we can get on with our lesson today."

The class, of course, did as they were told and handed in their writing assignments. Since she was sitting at the front desk, Chloe was able to preview everyone's assignments. There was a poem about Will Solace, a short story about Ulysses Edward Lee, a note that said her time had come, a song about-

Wait, what?

Chloe looked under the last page to see a hastily made fake interview with Zeus. Strange, Chloe could've sworn that there was a note that had said something about her time coming.

"Ms. Patts." Mr. Riordan said, "May I please have the assignments or are you content on your ability to grade them yourself?"

"Sorry Mr. Riordan." Chloe said as he handed the assignments into Mr. Riordan.

Mr. Riordan looked through the assignments and gazed at one in particular. The color drained from his face as he looked back at Chloe. "Ms. Patts," He said after a while, "why did you not do your assignment?"

Chloe looked at Mr. Riordan with a look of confusion. "What do you mean, sir?"

"Sam? Isla?" He said as he looked through the pages, "I thought you guys liked this class."

"We do." Sam said, "What's going-"

"Then why didn't any of you do the assignment?" Mr. Riordan asked, "You three can explain it to me after class."

Chloe was heartbroken at this. She did the work, she put the effort into her interview. Why the hell was Mr. Riordan acting like it wasn't right in front of his face?!

Needless to say, Chloe didn't pay attention to the lesson as she fought tears. Mr. Riordan was the one teacher she looked forward to every single day. And yet, he just conveniently lost three assignments. He threw her, Isla, and Sam under the bus.

All Chloe could say or think at the moment was that Mr. Riordan better have a good answer for what he did. Or else there would be hell to pay. No one, not even her favorite teacher, messed with her or her friends.

As the bell rang, Chloe was the first out of her seat. She walked up to the teachers desk and crossed her arms at Mr. Riordan. "What the hell was that about?" She asked angrily, "You know damn well we wouldn't just not do an assignment."

"Chloe, calm down." Sam said as he tried to pull Chloe back.

"No, I want answers!" Chloe shouted.

Mr. Riordan sighed as he pulled out three papers. They were Isla, Sam, and Chloe's papers. Each one of them had a big, fat A+++ on them, meaning that they each got about fifty extra points on otherwise 100% papers.

Chloe stared at the papers as Mr. Riordan spoke. "Now that I have your attention, I need you to listen very closely." He said.

Chloe looked up at Mr. Riordan and was about to ask why he did what he did. Mr. Riordan, however, only held out his hand. "That was the only way I could make you stay after class without attracting the wrong kind of attention."

He looked at the three of them. "You three are my favorite students. This is why it pains me to have to have to do this." Mr. Riordan sighed as he closed his eyes. He pointed at the three of them with one hand and said "ω πνεύμα του χρόνου να στείλει αυτά τα τρία πίσω στην εποχή τους."

Which, in English, translated to Oh spirit of time, send these three back to their era. Chloe recognized it instantly as a spell.

"WAIT!" She shouted but it was too late.

The world around them melted into Purple light. The purple swirled around them, causing Chloe to get dizzy. Out of desperation, she grabbed someone. She looked over at Sam as Sam tried to speak. However, no sound came from his mouth. She tried to read his lips, but Sam's face was all contorted as if he had been a painting that the artist had decided to throw water on and move around.

Finally, the purple swirling turned into blue water. It didn't take long for Chloe to realize that they were submerged underwater. She gasped for air as water filled her lungs. She tried to cough, but that only sucked in more water.

As water replaced air in Chloe's lungs, she began to panic. She kicked around and desperately tried to swim towards the light. When she was about to reach the surface, a hand shot out and grabbed her by the arm. It hoisted her out of the water.

Chloe tried to get air, but there was too much water in her lungs. She tried desperately to breath. She coughed as the water in her eyes was replaced by tears of panic. I'm going to die! She thought to herself, This is it, this is the end!

She slammed into the ground behind her. Chloe looked up to see a boy pushing his hand over her chest and pumping. He wasn't gentle at all, but Chloe coughed. About of Gallon of water left her mouth and she could bring air into her lungs. She coughed, expelling more water before rolling over on her side the throwing up the rest of it.

Chloe laid on the ground motionless for a while. She carefully took each breath of air in as the boy rolled her back over onto her back. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Chloe took a deep breath and nodded. She never realized how good fresh air tasted. She nodded and croaked, "Thank you."

"Don't mention it." The boy said as he looked down at her with sea green eyes. Two figures left the water behind him. Sam and Isla had survived and did not have nearly as much trouble as she did.

"Chloe!" Isla shouted as the two of them rushed over to her.

"Are you okay?!" Sam asked as he knelt beside her.

"She'll be fine." The boy next to them said.

Sam looked at him and his eyes widened. "You're… you are."

Chloe looked over to her rescuer and her eyes widened. She recognized the face.

Sea green eyes, messy black hair. That look could belong to none other than-

"Percy Jackson." The boy said, "I'm please to meet you… uh... who are you three exactly?"

Chloe's eyes rolled into the back of her head as she passed out from exhaustion.
