Yusuke woke up cursing.
He then proceeded to fall out of his bed, which was echoed by familiar groans. 'Let's see…' he thought. 'Kuwabara, Kurama, and my oh so dear friend Hiei. Wait, what?'
Opening his eyes a crack, he saw his friends in varying states of wakefulness. "How is this possible?" he moaned.
An unfamiliar sigh heralded an answer, "Well, let's see. First of all, you do realize you're all stars of an anime, right?"
All four turned to look at the girl in the corner, who continued scribbling away as they spoke.
"Yes, why?" said the semi-clear voice of a certain fox.
Still scribbling, the girl replied. "Have you ever heard of fanfiction?"
The entire room burst with energy. "God NO!" shouted four voices.
"I take that as a yes." The constant scribbling paused, then continued as the girl's eyes finally lifted off of the paper. "Well, I hate to break it to you, but—"
"I can't believe we're in another one!" Kuwabara yelled.
"For once, I agree with the idiot." Hiei dodged as Kuwabara attacked. "How did we even get here?" he continued.
"I don't know. Some weird lead-in plot that I haven't thought of yet." The eyes were again turned to the page. "However, where I am, we're having the first snow, a full moon, and a lunar eclipse all on the winter solstice. I guarantee you, someone is trying to destroy the world. You guys should probably save it."
Both girl and paper were saved as Botan flew into the room via window. "Yusuke, Koenma needs you! We have to go to the spirit world now!" she was puzzled as she looked around. "Um, why is everyone in the same room for once?"
"Don't ask," Yusuke seethed.
Once they, for once, managed to get to the spirit world to get a mission brief in person, Koenma explained.
"Many things are happening that could strengthen the demons tonight. First, it is the winter solstice, and second, there will be a lunar eclipse. We need you to be on guard to stop any attacks that the demons might attempt."
The four started protesting.
Yusuke woke up cursing.
He then proceeded to fall out of his bed…
Author's Note:
(I have no idea what to put in this)
If you are reading this because of who I am, thank you. It's nice to know I have faithful readers even though my last post was in July. If not, thanks anyways. Readers are good. I am being attacked with homework and present making, which is my excuse. My real reason: I was disheartened by my small view/review ratio (I got two from my friend for the two stories.), stayed away from fanfic, and didn't practice writing for a while, which is why my writing sucks right now. My supposedly completed story "A Thief's Boredom" may or may not be updated. I'm sorry. I'll probably finish it... Eventually. (By the way, as whiny as I may sound about the reviews, I'm not actually trying to whine. I just don't know how else to put it.)
Thanks so much for reading,
Seastorm
