Zoom origins
You may think I'm a monster. I wasn't always i had dreams and ambitions. I wanted to be like my father. A man fighting for his country. things change people change. People like my father wear a mask to hide who they truly are. When i was 12 my father shot and killed my mother. He went to prison for a couple of months later he committed suicide. that was the day Hunter died something new was born inside of me. A Darkness. Hunter is just the mask. My name is Zoom. Before i became Zoom i grew up in an orphanage probably the same reason why i didn't turn out like goody two shoes Barry Allen. The Orphanage was a cold and frightened place. I went to college and university only because my father had his war money savings left behind. I majored in physics chemistry and psychology. That's how i created the velocity speed drug later on. A couple years later im 21 right about now. I joined the police as an officer so i could find out why my father killed my mom. So i could stop it from happening to anyone ever again. I meet someone the love of my life Ashley Kate. I wanted to marry her. She would have been a great Ashley Zolomon but instead she left me for another man. My best friend Oliver. not the rich douchebag. I had severe PTSD issues as a child from the horror i saw. I took pills for this occasionally. From the trauma that developed i kind of developed a split personality. It was kind of like a voice in my head telling me what to do. I decided to stop taking them and boy did it feel wonderful. I went out that night found a girl. She looked a lot like ashley so stabbed her in her spin crippling felt wonderful letting my true side free. Then i stabbed her repeatedly until she died. I killed a lot of people since her men and woman.21 counts of murder i actually and oliver would be 22 and 23. I managed to track down Ashley and Oliver through my cop skills. I tied oliver down to a chair and beat him mercilessly it felt like i was beating him to death the time came. I said to ashley ahh you can see. I made her watch as i stabbed a knife through his head. The look on her face was priceless. As i looked at her face i knew this was it no going back or being the old scared hunter who watched his mother die. I brought along the jacket my dad used to wear and the helmet and i said "dad wherever you are in hell. Your gonna wanna see this dad and i killed her just like my father did. I was caught the following week by the police. They caught me by identifying the bullet of the gun and where it came from who owned it. It came right back to me. The judge asks me would i do it again. I replied to her saying if i weren't in cuffs i would be slitting your throat laughing as i was dragged away. They declared i was insane and sentenced me to saint perez mental asylum. I was there until i was 26. They tried to cure me. But what is not broken it cannot be cured. They tried daily electroshock therapy. It didn't work just made me even more mad. Then one night. Something that could not be explained. the dark matter wave hit me while all the electro shock therapy surged through me. I became a speedster. I became the fastest man alive.
