"We're gonna be late!"
Wait...isn't it a school day?
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" The blaziken shouted, causing both braixen and a lucario to flinch.
"Dude, what the heck!" Ember(the braixen)flinched, covering his ears.
"Christ, our eardrums could have melted." Fiasco(the lucario) said sarcastically.
"Well I'm sorry but *furiously grabs alarm clock* we're running late!"
"And who's the one to blame?"
"Ugh whatever, just let me change and we'll head out to school, alright?" Volgin stood up and started scavenging for clothes. The other two nodded and exited the room. "Two minutes sharp, and hurry!" Ember said before slamming the door, almost damaging it.
Soon, Volgin got ready for school and left with his pals. They weren't exactly excited about school, they just didn't want to get a bad reputation by arriving late to school.
Fiasco's POV
It took us a while to get to school, but we're here! Not that I want to be here, but neither do I want detention. Our school, Greenville High school, isn't exactly the best, and the fact that I get picked on easily just makes adds more salt to the injury. But, Volgin is always there to protect me.
"Hey Volgin, may I ask you something?"
"Sure, spill"
"How come you're always willing to defend me?"
"Well, why not?" Volgin stopped and faced Fiasco. "We're really good friends, why wouldn't I protect my best friend, that would be wrong and I appreciate being your friend!" Volgin grinned at me.
"Awwwww, thank you Volgin, I know you'll always be there for me!" Fiasco wrapped his arms around Volgin's impressively well-built body and went into a tight hug.
"Anytime bud" Volgin flinched at the sudden hug, but hugged back in the end.
"Can you two kiss already?" Ember laughed at his remark, too distracted to realize that he was getting glared at.
"Oh shut up Ember," we both replied.
"Well um, sorry to interrupt your lovely time and all but WE'RE RUNNING LATE!"
I looked at my phone and it was in fact 7:34.
"What are we waiting for, let's move!" We all rapi-dashed (I'm sorry) to the entrance of the school and pulled the doors open. "We're 4 minutes late, dammit!"
"Well better get going, see ya!" Ember waved goodbye at us and left to his 1st-period class. Leaving me and Volgin alone. We waved back and jogged to our first period. We both shared 5 of our classes together, all being regular classes. Ember had a very weird schedule,so we only saw him in three of our classes, which were Chemistry, Geometry, and Sports Class. On the other hand, I had Volgin for Geometry, Chemistry, Sports Class, Reading, and English.
Ember's POV
Euggghhhh..., reading class. I really despise my reading class, especially Mrs. Julca, her voice is irritating, and the fact that all she makes us do is just group work that doesn't get graded and barely puts in any grades enlarges my bitterness for reading class.
"Alright class, take out your homework from last night, we will be grading it right now"
Crap.
Well, what's my excuse now?
The teacher started walking down the rows and came into a stop when she arrived at my desk. "Ember, where is your homework?"She looked at me with a blank expression. I think she already knows.
"I um..." I could feel my face burning up from embarrassment. My silence only attracted more attention, making heads turn to look at me.
"This is the 5th time that you don't do your homework, Ember, if you keep this up you may have to change your electives for extra classes to make up for your lack of grades, or worse, you may flunk your junior year."
"Uhhhhhhhh" I couldn't mutter anything out, I was speechless. At this point, I was gonna blow up from all the embarrassment and the pressure given to me.
"Stay after the bell rings" That's the last thing I wanted to hear. Snickers from other classmates could be heard. I decided to just accept."Understood ma'am" I nodded and buried my face into my hands. I decided to just sleep for the rest of the period, because what now?
An hour later
The bell rung. I felt relief, but it was replaced by an empty feeling. I grunted, knowing that i still had to talk to the teacher about my missing work.
"Ember, come to my desk" I walked towards her desk, not knowing the consequences i would have to face."I'm giving you this packet," she handed me a thick packet. I just wanted to fall on the floor and bawl my eyes out, no way i could finish this all on my own."I'm giving you a week to finish all this," she gave me a serious look. "If you fail to complete it, then the principal will have to give you a sort of punishment, understood?" I cringed at the thought of Mr.Temple, a raticate, lecturing me about why we should stop slacking. "Yes ma'am" With that being said, I left the room, not feeling ready to go to computer class.
"Hey i heard the conversation" I turned around to see a female meowstic, but the meowstic's voice was very masculine for a female meowstic.
"Ever try minding your own business?" I wasn't in a very good mood, so it came out with more sass than what i expected.
"Well, i'm sorry Mr. Idontdomywork, but i'm just trying to help. If you don't mind, I can help you out with the packet, to your convenience" That quickly changed my mood. My frown turned into a smile. "Well, aren't you generous! i'll gladly take that offer!" I placed the packet into the meowstic's hands. A weird look met with my eyes. "Um, i'm not trying to the whole packet for you, mkay?" The meowstic replied with sass and snickered a bit. "Look, we can meet somewhere in the cafeteria during lunch, or we can meet at your place or my place, sounds good to you? All my worries were gone, nothing to worry about anymore."Pfffftt, is that even a question, yeah let's meet at the cafeteria!" The meowstic smiled and nodded, then waved goodbye and turn to leave the other way. I did the same and headed to my next class.
Hmmmmmm, something about that meowstic. How come it's a female form, yet has a voice of a male?
