Notes: This was written to be a sequel to 'A Different Shade of Yellow', but it can stand alone also? I don't know. I do have some more crossover Yellow/Green on my LJ, but I probably won't be uploading those to any other places soon, since those fics are mostly me indulging my OT4. ; This does take place after Timeranger, but there are no real spoilers.

Katie had thought that she was the only person still awake. Then she heard the sniffle.Carefully, so that she wouldn't wake Jen, Katie wrapped her blanket around her (it was getting colder at night) and made her way downstairs to the couch... which since his arrival, had become Domon's bed. "Hey." She shook the blanketed form, but he didn't so much as move.
Maybe he's dreaming? She let her hand rest on the top of his head (which was the only part of him that wasn't covered up). "C'mon, Domon. It's just a bad dream. I'm right--"
She was cut off when Domon bolted upright... and then he grinned at her sheepishly. "Oh. Hey, Katie." He rearranged himself so she would have room on the couch.
"Hey yourself." Katie took a seat next to him. "So, you gonna tell me about that nightmare of yours or do I have to shake you some more?"
His grin widened as he waved a hand at her. "Nightmare? Please. You know how I go out like a light--"
"Domon." Katie's tone made it clear that she wasn't in the mood for this. "I could hear you crying from up the stairs. So you might as well tell me what's eating at you."
He stared at her for several moments... and then, without warning, leaned against her. Katie was surprised, but didn't pull away.
"I dreamt about Sion. Again."
There was only so much she knew about Domon's life before he had literally fallen into theirs, but she was very much aware of how much Sion meant to him. "Domon--"
"But it wasn't like the other time. He was really there-- like I could touch him if I reached out." Katie wrapped an arm around him, trying to assure him that even if Sion had just been a dream, she wasn't... and to her relief he curled into her a little further. "So, obviously, I tried reaching out for him... and then he was gone."
"Just like that?"
Domon shook his head. "No, not just like that." Katie felt something cold go through her when he glanced at her. "Someone took him from me."
"Oh, Domon..." Katie grabbed him in the tightest hug she could manage. "That must've been terrible, I'm so sorry... but listen." She took his face firmly in her hands. "No one's taking me from you. Okay? And as soon as we find your friends, I'll make sure the same goes for them, too."
"Uh-huh." His voice was slightly muffled on account of her hands smushing his cheeks.
"Good." They were quiet after that, as Katie pulled away just enough so that he'd had enough room to fall asleep, which Domon immediately did... after more or less falling in her lap.
Katie gazed down at the young man currently draped over her body. She could push him off without trying... but she didn't want to. This was probably the closest thing to a good night's sleep Domon was going to get as long as he was here, and she wasn't going to take that away from him.
