Nineteen year old Ayano Sugiura was one of the top workers at her business company. She was at a young age to get such a nice job, but she sure was dedicated and hard working.

Ayano got ready for her work day. She got on a fancy blue shirt, a long purple skirt, and she got all of her work stuff organized. She opened her house door and was prepared to go to work, but her girlfriend, Toshino Kyoko, was standing outside the door. Ayano was surprised to see her so early in the day, because Kyoko was infamous for sleeping as late as possible. Ayano looked at Kyoko and said, "Hi Toshino Kyoko. What's going on?"

Kyoko replied, "I made sure to get up early."

Ayano asked, "Do you have any reason for doing that?"

Kyoko answered, "So we can spend the day together."

Ayano said, "That would be nice, but I'm afraid that I can't do that today."

Kyoko had a disappointed look on her face while asking, "Why not?"

Ayano said, "I have work today."

Kyoko had a sneaky smile on her face while asking, "Can't you skip a day?"

Ayano said, "Not unless I'm sick." Kyoko coughed on her. Ayano said, "Sheesh Kyoko. You need to work on your manners."

Kyoko had a guilty look on her face while saying, "I'm sorry. I just really want to spend the day with you."

Ayano hugged Kyoko and replied, "I'm sorry, but I have a meeting with the boss."

Kyoko had an excited look on her face while asking, "Are you going to get a raise?"

Ayano said, "I doubt that. However, the boss says he has something important to tell me."

Kyoko replied, "Speaking of important stuff, have you told him about us?"

Ayano smirked at the thought of that and said, "Yeah right. It's not like I share my life story with everybody I meet."

Kyoko replied, "I tell everybody I meet about us."

Ayano blushed with embarrassment and said, "Kyoko, why would you do something so insensitive?"

Kyoko replied, "I'm sorry, but I like to brag about what a great girlfriend I have."

Ayano said, "That's actually sweet of you. I wish I could talk longer, but I must start heading to work." She kissed Kyoko on the cheek and got into her car.

A few hours later Ayano walked into Mr. Priceless' office and said, "Greetings sir."

Mr. Priceless replied, "Sit down."

Ayano sounded a little nervous while saying, "Okay sir."

Mr. Priceless looked at Ayano and said, "You've been quite a good worker."

Ayano replied, "Thank you sir. It's an honor to get a compliment from someone who's been in the business for so long."

Mr. Priceless gave a menacing look at Ayano and asked, "Are you implying that I'm old?"

Ayano looked scared while saying, "No sir."

Mr. Priceless tried to make Ayano feel better while saying, "Calm down. People tell me that I have what it takes to be a horror actor. Anyways, you've earned my respect and trust, so I'm going to show you one of my oldest and most important items."

Ayano replied, "Okay sir. I'm honored that you have so much trust for me."

Mr. Priceless picked up a suitcase and opened it. He pulled out two eggs and said, "These two items of iconic importance are from 1967. It was a great year to crack up some treasures."

Ayano looked confused while asking, "You've kept those eggs for over fifty years?"

Mr. Priceless had a proud look on his face while saying, "I sure have." He pulled out three more eggs and said, "These are from 1968. It was an even better year than the year before. There were no more rare eggs after that, but these treasures are great memories of two of my most successful and memorable years."

Ayano was weirded out, but she respected her boss too much to call him out on how eccentric he was. She said, "Thank you for showing me such unique secrets of the past."

Mr. Priceless replied, "You're welcome. I knew that I could trust you to not laugh. So, do you have any secrets that you'd like to reveal."

Ayano nervously said, "Not really. I like to be modest."

Mr. Priceless replied, "Okay then, but modest is the new boring." Ayano and the boss heard a knock on the door. Mr. Priceless said, "Please come in."

Kyoko walked in. Ayano faced her and said, "You're not supposed to be here."

Kyoko replied, "I'm sorry, but I wanted to see if you can have lunch with me."

Mr. Priceless said, "It's almost your lunch hour, so you kids go ahead."

Ayano replied, "Thank you sir." Kyoko kissed Ayano in front of the boss.

Mr. Priceless looked at Ayano and sternly said, "I'm going to need to talk to you after your lunch break is over."

Ayano nervously replied, "Okay sir."

Ayano and Kyoko went to a nearby fast food place to have lunch. Ayano angrily stared at Kyoko and said, "I'm pretty upset at you."

Kyoko asked, "Why?"

Ayano said, "You came into my boss' office without permission and you kissed me in front of him. Are you trying to get me in trouble?"

Kyoko replied, "Not at all. I just missed you."

Ayano sighed and said, "I love you." She and Kyoko started holding hands with each other. Ayano said, "I'm more worried than mad."

Kyoko asked, "What are you mad about?"

Ayano said, "The boss says he wants to have a meeting with me after lunch. He might punish me for your interruption."

Kyoko replied, "Then blame me."

Ayano said, "You don't work for him, so that won't do much good. What will I do if I lose his respect?"

Kyoko put her arm around Ayano and replied, "You'll always my respect. No fights or anything like that will change that. It's impossible to make me stop loving you."

Ayano looked up at Kyoko and responded, "Thank you. That means a lot to me." She hugged Kyoko.

Ayano finished her lunch date with Kyoko and went into Mr. Priceless' office. She nervously said, "Hi sir."

Mr. Priceless replied, "There's a matter that must be discussed."

Ayano started shaking nervously while asking, "What is it?"

Mr. Priceless replied, "That random young lady who came into my office and started kissing you. Do you know her or is she some kind of stalker?"

Ayano said, "I know her. She's a close friend of mine."

Mr. Priceless replied, "Close friend? How gullible do you think I am? You're dating her, aren't you?"

Ayano responded, "I'm afraid so."

Mr. Priceless said, "Yes, you should be afraid. Ms. Sugiura, I never expected you to do such a thing?"

Ayano asked, "To fall in love?"

Mr. Priceless said, "No, that was predictable as it gets. What surprised me is that you chose someone of the same gender."

Ayano tried to hide her anger while asking, "Is that a problem?"

Mr. Priceless was confused about how to respond. Ayano was about to call him out for his offensive views towards same gender relationships. He tried to word himself properly. He said, "It's something that I'm not used to seeing."

Ayano had always respected her boss in the past, but she was struggling to sugarcoat herself this time. She said, "I hate to be so bold sir, but you need to get on with the times. Things have changed and I think that same gender relationships show how progressive things have gotten. I don't want to lose this job or your respect, but my relationship with Kyoko is more important."

Mr. Priceless took a long pause and replied, "I'm sorry Ayano. I'm afraid I almost let my dated views question wether or not I should keep you as a worker. I admit that I'm guilty of living in the past too often. Things have gotten more progressive and I'm glad for that."

Ayano looked at him and asked, "So, I'm not in trouble?"

Mr. Priceless said, "I don't want your girlfriend coming to my office with permission. Other than that, you and her seem to have a strong bond and I want you to be happy."

Ayano replied, "Thank you sir. You lived up to the respectful image I always saw you as."

Mr. Priceless said, "Thank you. I want you to keep working her. After all, I could use some help capturing thirteen ghosts."

Ayano raised her eyebrows and asked, "What?" Mr. Priceless laughed.

Ayano drove home. She looked around and saw Kyoko standing outside. Ayano said, "Hi Kyoko."

Kyoko asked, "Did you get in trouble with your boss?"

Ayano answered, "No, he's okay with our relationship."

Kyoko replied, "Your boss sounds like an excellent guy."

Ayano jokingly said, "Actually, he's an eggcellent guy."

Kyoko asked, "Are you still mad at me?"

Ayano said, "No. In fact, I'm proud of you."

Kyoko asked, "What for?"

Ayano smiled and said, "For being the most loving and supportive girlfriend."

Kyoko replied, "I love you so much."

Ayano said, "That's music to my ears." Kyoko started singing a corny romance song. The two girls giggled and kissed each other. Ayano learned that her relationship was Kyoko was the most priceless gift that she had received in a long time.
