Disclaimer: I don't own Once Upon a Time or any of its characters.

A/N: I know I should be working on a couple other stories, but I've actually had this written up for a while now and wanted to get it posted. I know the chapters are short, but it was originally intended to be a one-shot. Enjoy!

Chapter One

Emma stood outside Regina's house, staring up at the mansion as snow fell around her. It was a week before Christmas and the sheriff wanted to spend the holiday with family. "Please, Regina, I know you don't like me, but Henry is the only family I have and this is the first time I've had family to spend the holiday with," Emma pleaded. "One hour, that's all I'm asking for."

"Christmas is a big deal in this household Miss Swan, but I will think about it," Regina answered.

"Thank you."

"I didn't say yes, Miss Swan."

"I know, but I wasn't expecting you to even consider it," Emma answered. "Have a good day Miss Mayor.
