I have been away from writing any stories on here for about a year now. I blame myself and I alone for forgetting this website and going to Wattpad. But I am here now with a new story. Enjoy!
The child giggled as small birds flew to her arms to obtain the nectar held in the container. The owl in its nest flew down and landed near the mother of the child. The mother smiled and gave some of her nectar to the owl, who in return gave the mother a bow before flying back to its nest.
"Momma, can we go to see the fishes now, please?" The little girl asked as her father picked her up to place her over his head. The mother told her daughter they would when they left the bird pen.
Once they left, they went through the African zone. When they stopped to admire the loins and zebras separated by an electrical fence, all the zebras lined up and bowed with one zebra walked as close as it could and bowed deeper than the rest of its dazzle. "Hey, Annabeth isn't the zebra-" The father was cut off by one of the lions roared and met with the zebra as close as he could, and bowed as well. "Nevermind, that he and Mr. Lion are the ones we saved. I'm grateful to see you both are prospering.
"Seaweed Brain, you're doing it again," Annabeth told him as a few people looked at the animals bowing. The animals retreated and went back to their group. This happened with the giraffes, camels, hippos, and bulls.
After the family ate they walked into the aquarium, and all the marine life near the family turned attention to the prince of the sea and his daughter. "Son of the Sea God!" and "Legacy of the sea!" could be heard in the minds of Percy and his daughter. Percy looked at his wife, "you are lucky you don't have to hear them." Their daughter nodded her head in agreement.
Halfway through the aquarium the daughter tugged her father's hair and turned his attention to some naiads who smiled, waved, and bowed to the presence of their Lord and Lady. When they were driving back home, the daughter spoke up. "I had fun today. It was amazing to see the different animals, but it was also sad. Next time we go to an aquarium dad, can we get some earplugs?"
"Beleive me, I've tried. My little starfish, I've tried." The father looked up from his window and saw Huntress constellation shin brighter amidst the sea of stars.
