Just something I wrote at 3 am last week. I had a lot on my mind, and this turned out to be one of the best poems I've written yet. Let me know what y'all think. This might become a story, I don't know yet...We'll see. Life is pretty difficult right now so it may take me a while to update if I ever do continue, keep that in mind.
Warning: Contains mentions to self harm, if this is a trigger for you, please avoid reading this poem. Thanks.
Disclaimer: Yeah, I don't own Twilight, but I sure wish I did. I DO own this poem however.
Hiding, shielding,
Blocking it all out.
Smiling, laughing,
Acting it all out.
Bottling, boxing,
Keeping it all in.
Sighing, grieving,
The mask will always win.
Abandoned, exposed,
There is nowhere to hide.
Mortified, deflated,
Just keep it all inside.
Overlooked, belittled,
It will only just begin.
Attenuated, sabotaged,
The mask will always win.
Silently, secretly,
Tears lost to the night.
Swiftly, blatantly,
Strictly black and white.
Deftly, reverently,
Blade against the skin.
Inevitably, irrevocably,
The mask will always win.
Alright, that's a rap. What did you guys think? Should I make it a story? If you want me to continue, just let me know.
