Week six pairing - Bellatrix/Barty Crouch Jr.
The summer breeze was hot upon her skin, tugging on her hair, her dark curls swirling about her face as a wicked grin spread across her lips. She found him, his flowing jacket covered in a layer of dried blood, his eyes reflecting the firelight that surrounded them.
It was madness, a delicious kind of intoxicating venom that dripped from his lips as he pulled her close, embracing her in the sweltering heat. His lips found hers, and she tasted copper on his tongue.
"Marvelous night, isn't it, Bella?" he said when they finally came apart.
She chuckled, taking in the sights around them. The burning buildings, the spires of smoke rising towards the heavens. They had done well. The Dark Lord would be proud of them. But right now that didn't matter. All that mattered was them, right here, right now, in this moment surrounded by death and destruction.
His tongue darted out of his mouth, licking his lips as he gazed down at her. His eyes, so wild and full of fire, gleaming in the moonlight. He was a serpent, a venomous creature that longed to wrap his coils around her. A wicked laugh escaped his lips, his fingers closed around her wrist, and he pulled her towards the remains of a burnt out building.
"Come, Bella. The night is young, and there is much to see and do."
He had plans for her, beneath the burning skies of ashes and flames, a sky that was bleeding death upon the darkened streets below. It was madness in its purest form, it was bloodlust and desire. They were perfect for each other, the serpent and the beast, hand in hand, laughing as the shifting patterns of light and dark flickered across their faces, the flames growing higher as they disappeared into the night.
