AN: A small tribute to 9/11. I know it's not much but it's something. It takes place in between chapters 4 and five of The Master of the Spine.

It was the night before Edhellhach left for Carvahall, when he had the dream, and it was dream of unimaginable horrors.

In his dream there stood two magnificent identical towers, almost like wins, and he could sense that they were full of people, alive and full of light. Elsewhere he saw four large boats, with wings coming out of their side instead of sails, these were also full of people, but yet staying aloft in the sky.

But on these he went he looked inside he saw that, near the head of the, he felt the word was plane, plane there were several men struggling and it appeared that the captain and his men were losing the fight.

Then he saw two buildings, one a pentagon, the other a majestic white house.

When he looked back to the planes he saw that the captains of the plane had lost and that the other men were now sitting at the controls of the plane and were directing the planes towards the buildings he had seen. One for each of the Twin Towers, one for the Pentagon, and one for the White House.

He felt helpless as he saw two planes hurtle towards the towers. He felt the panic and horror of the people in the tower as they saw the plane rush towards them.

He felt the shock around the world as people witnessed the two magnificent towards come crashing down, with many family members and loved ones inside. He watched as one plane came crashing down into the Pentagon, he felt the terror of the people trapped inside, unable to escape.

But on the last plane he saw that the passengers had realized that something wrong was happening, he felt how scared they were when they made the last calls to their loved ones. He saw how the passengers overpowered the "new" pilots of the plane, and sent the plane crashing down, sacrificing themselves to save others.

He watched as men went into the crumbling towers, on occasion sacrificing themselves so that others may live, and he was saddened to see so many heroes die in order to save others.

Edhellhach felt the horror and terror of the nation as they saw the Twin Towers falling, their outrage at what had happened, and Edhellhach simply cried along with millions at the monstrosity that had been forced upon the world.
