00. Prologue

Mystic Falls, 2006

Salvatore's Cemetery

GASPED LEAVING HER LIPS, she remembered perfectly what happened last night. Her dress stained with her own blood, the cut is gone, and her throat feels like on fire. She's thirsty. She thought the thirst that happened to the people around her wasn't that bad. But it is that bad. She doesn't want to be a vampire. But, the fate is so cruel. She saw Ric leaning against the walls cemetery with Jeremy and Elena talking. She tried to get up, Jeremy rush into her and help her. He embraces her while he informed Ric that Damon was here and her father took Esther's body.

"Does he know about the stake?" Alaric asked Jeremy.

"No, only that she tried to turn you into a weapon and failed. What's going on?"

"Listen, Jeremy, I'm not gonna complete the transition. My dark side was dangerous enough as a human. I can't be a vampire."

"So, what we're just gonna locks you in here and let you die?" Alaric doesn't answer his question.

"You have to Jer... I'm sorry Jer, but I'm not gonna complete the transition either. If we complete the transition, then it means Esther's plan success." Ally said softly to Jeremy and look down.

"No, no we can't!" Jeremy yelled at Ric, she can hear the frustration in his voice.

"Listen, Jeremy, it's the right thing to do, okay? After everything that's happened, after all that I have done. Maybe I had it coming." Jeremy couldn't take it anymore. He let go of his embrace and walks away from Ric and Ally.

How can they easily said that they won't complete the transition, he's not ready losing someone he loves again. He wanted to be selfish. He wants them to complete the transition. But he knows that he can't.

"Hey, wait, Jer...Alaric, Ally this isn't your fault." Elena said.

Jeremy stops and turns around. He looks at Ally, with pain in his eyes. She smiled reassured him that she's okay.

"Please, you guys let's not make this any harder than it already is. You two should go. Damon's here. He'll make sure it'll all go down the right way." Alaric said. "Hey, hey..." Alaric called out Jeremy.

"Don't. Don't give me some crap speech about how I need to be the man of the house."

"Okay, I won't." Alaric hugs Jeremy. Jeremy let go of the hug and watch Ally carefully.

She walks to Jeremy and touches his cheeks, "Jer, I'll be okay, we'll be okay. And I know someday you'll be okay. You are survivor Jer, never lose hope. I want you to remember, I love you and I'm not truly gone, I'll always stay in your heart." Tears slip her eyes. Jeremy kissed her softly; give all of his feelings on their last kiss.

Jeremy let go of the kiss, "I love you too." Jeremy kissed her one more time and wipes her tears before walks away.

Alaric turns towards Elena. There are tears in Elena's eyes. She let Alaric and Elena have their moment. She walks out of the cemetery. She sees a gathering of people outside the tomb. There are lit candles scattered around them. She smiles a little. She saw his father frowning deeply, with glistening in his eyes. She saw Stefan to Damon, Caroline and Tyler, Matt, Bonnie, Jeremy, and stops on Meredith who is crying. Ally broke down when she sees her father walks towards her and hug her.

"You have to finish the transition; I don't care whatever reasons Esther changes you. You have to finish it. You're my daughter." Nik said only makes her sobbing harder.

"I don't wanna die dad, but I don't wanna be a vampire either. I'm not ready." She sobbed uncontrollably. She clenched her hand on Nik's shirt.

"I'm sorry..." Nik let go of the hug.

"W – What..." He runs to Jeremy and bit Jeremy's neck, he takes Jeremy in front of her.

"No, Dad... don't," While Nik push her head into Jeremy's neck carefully, but enough to make her lean closer to Jeremy's neck.

When the others trying to stop Nik, "No, it's okay. I want her to finish the transition. It's okay Al." Jeremy said, tried to reassure them that he is okay. Her fangs growing in her mouth, she tried to not bite his neck, but unfortunately Jeremy's blood touch her lips by the push her father on her head, makes her accidentally finish the transition. Her face started to change. The veins grown from her cheeks to her crimson/golden eyes while she tried to push her father and Jeremy away, there's a surge of power on her body to her palm.

"No!" She yelled and pushed them without touching them. Gasps leaving everyone's lips and looking at her disbelieves.

"I – It's impossible..." She had no idea who said that. She's focused on her hands, and clenched it. She could feel the power still there.

Stefan rushes into Jeremy and giving him his blood. Jeremy's neck starts healing. He looks at her looking at her hands.

She ran into the wood scared of what happened. Scared of herself. Wondering, what she is. She could hear everyone calling her name, looking for her all night long.
