Welcome to my life
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Ginny Weasley sat in the Room of Requirements with a roaring fire, a stereo, and a sofa. It was well past curfew, and she had not intention of ever leaving the room. Why should she? It's not like she had an urgent reason to or anything.
Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you.
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
The trio saw her as an immature young girl. Everyone else either thought of her as the youngest weasley or just didn't care about her at all. She had no friends, and thanks to Ron, didn't have a boyfriend either.
To be hurt,
To feel lost,
To be left out
In the dark.
To be kicked,
When your down.
And feel like
You've been pushed around.
To be on the edge
Of breaking down,
And no one there to save you.
No you don't know what it's like.
Welcome to my life.
She listened to the song on the radio. Surely, she couldn't have heard the words right. They were too personal. But she had. By the time the song had finished, she was crying. She cried for herself. For her lack of friends, life, and happiness. She lay back on the sofa and curled up to a throw pillow.
She was just starting to calm down when the song came on again. Figures, she thought to herself. She cried harder the second time 'round. Her sobs quieted when she heard the door close quietly behind her.
Ginny lifted her head up to see who was there. Imagine her surprise when she say none other than Draco Malfoy standing there, looking rather uncomfortable, but mostly just concerned; worried. "What do you want, ferret?" she asked, her voice stuffy due to all the crying.
"Just wanted to see why you were crying, Weaslette." He grumbled , coming over to sit on a chair that had appeared across from her. He draped himself over it, waiting for an answer.
Ginny just stared at him. "Just listen to the song. I'm too lazy to tell you." She told him, as it came on, yet again.
He kept his eyes on her throughout the whole song. "Is this how you really feel? Like nobody cares?" he asked once the song had ended.
She nodded as more tears threatened to fall. She shut her eyes tight, trying to keep them in.
Too bad. She could've if he didn't do what he did next.
Rising from the chair, he came to crouch in front of her, gently stroking her hair and her face as the tears fell, harder and harder. He climbed onto the couch with her as she began to sob. He put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. She was to tired to fight and just rested her head and hands against his chest.
Eventually, she quieted down, with Draco still stroking her hair gently. Almost…lovingly. Which was the last thing she had expected from him. But then again, the night had been full of surprises.
"Why are doing this?" Ginny asked. He looked down at her. Her eyes were staring directly back into his.
He waited a bit before answering, "Because…I…care. I hate to admit it, but I like you. You're the most beautiful, nicest girl I've ever met. And I hate to see you in pain. Especially when you're feeling bad about yourself."
Ginny smiled and snuggled up to him, her eyes drifting closed. "I like you, too, Draco. Very much," she told him quietly, before drifting off to sleep. He followed her soon after.
So? Was it terrible? Or do you think it was good? Please review!
