Summary: It was Vincent's birthday, but of course he didn't care to remember. Luckily someone remembered for him.
When it came to his birthday, it didn't exist to Vincent. There was really no point. It was just another day. And celebrating something that didn't happen to him didn't make any sense. He wasn't getting any older. So he didn't care. He just put it off out of his mind.
The slender black-haired male awoke from a long night's sleep. He and the others had made a stop in Kalm for the night before they headed on their way to their next destination. Vincent turned his head towards the bed that Cloud was sleeping in – but saw no one. Nothing but a pet carrier with a tiny Siamese kitten hiding inside of it.
Vincent stopped to think for a second. A…cat?
Where was Cloud?
Vincent went over to the cage and examined the small creature. His red eyes connected with it's blue ones. It wasn't a second later before it blinked a couple of times and meowed innocently.
Oddly enough, it startled him slightly, and all he could say was, "Oh." He had never seen anything so…pure in all of his years.
He unlocked the cage door and with his good hand, reached in and released the kitten. It meowed again. The poor thing must be scared. Vincent noticed something else. There was a fine, red ribbon tied loosely around it's neck with a note dangling from it.
Lightly with his claw, Vincent tugged it off and whipped it open. 'Happy birthday, love. Hope you like him.' It said in a too familiar handwriting.
He smiled softly. "Oh, Cloud. I could just kiss you."
