Tip Toe…

* * * *

Quietly, stealthily, he walked down the hallway. Tip toeing past the suits of armor, sleeping portraits, and glowing eyes, he was careful not to-

Wait… glowing eyes? He turned around and stared right into the eyes of none other than… Mrs. Norris.

"Meow?"

He tore off in the opposite direction, no longer caring who or what saw him. Randomly, he turned corners, the torches lighting themselves along the way.

When he was sure no one was following him, he stopped and leaned against a portrait to catch his breath.

"Kindly get off of me!"

He jumped and turned around. Before him sat a fat lady in a pink dress. How revolting.

"I don't recognize you. New, dear?"

"Er… yes. I just… transferred here…"

The fat, pink lady nodded. "Very well. Do you remember your password?"

Oh shit. I knew I should have paid attention to the password. Well, I did pay attention, just not to the words. He smiled, remembering his lover's full lips.

"Ahem…"

He spun around, looking for Umbridge. Wait… She's gone…

"Young man, I've been asking you for the past few minutes, do you know the password?" Her voice sounded agitated and a muscle above her eye was twitching.

"Er…" He thought fast, picking the first Gryffindor-type word he thought of. "Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes?"

The fat, frilly, pink lady nodded and the portrait swung forward. Smirking, he stepped through the door as it closed behind him.

Before him was a large room. Everything was either red… or green… or (a shudder here) both.

Ugh. Don't these Gryffindors have a sense of style? His nose wrinkled as he looked about. His gaze fell upon a large tree decorated in red and gold garland, Of course bright lights. And moving ornaments.

For a few seconds, he gazed upon the massive tree. Theirs is bigger than ours… Shaking his head, he walked up the stairs that lead to the dormitories.

At the top, he paused, looking puzzled. Girls on the left, boys on the right. No, it was boys on the left, girls on the right. Wait-

Looking wildly around, slightly panicked, he made a split second decision and dodged up the right staircase. All the way at the top he opened what he hoped would be the correct door.

He closed his eyes and stepped in.

Please be the right room, please.

He peeked one eye open and, not seeing any danger, he opened the other.

Of course, red and gold. But how to know if it was the right room? Sighing, he sneaked over to the bed and carefully, carefully peeled back the covers.

"Ha!" Seeing that the correct shade of hair was spanned across the pillow, he hopped into the bed, and onto part of the owner's arm.

"Eeeeeooowwww!" Said owner sat up and glared at the intruder. Squinting in the dark, he tried to figure out who it was.

The other just sat there and smirked. Finally, the original occupant of the bed realized who was squishing him.

"Baby, what in the WORLD are you doing here? You could have been seen! Have you no-"

The blonde one reached out and covered his lover's mouth with his hand. "Shhh… I wasn't caught."

Still looking angry, his lover glared at him, not being able to yell.

Thinking quickly, he said in a small, I-love-you voice, "I just wanted to see you."

Eyes were softened and a smile appeared as his hand was pulled away from the other's mouth. "Well, as long as you weren't caught," they leaned towards each other and kissed gently, "I guess it's alright if you stay, Draco."

Smiling, they snuggled under the covers. Just as they were falling asleep, Draco said, "Harry, your choice of garland is atrocious.

Harry pinched Draco's butt, emitting a small squeal from the blonde-haired demon. "Good night, Draco."

Mumbling, Draco snuggled down into the covers. "Good night, you Niffler."
