I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning

Sometimes Steve felt so alone in this new time. He was just getting used to being Captain America and then Fate had to change everything up again. He was the outsider again. Unfamiliar and strange. And without Peggy. She was his reason.
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you
His reason to start anew. To embrace his new body. His new role in the war. No longer was he the 90 pound weakening. He could only imagine what she had to put up with after he went under.
I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through

All the things he wished he told her.

He got up and opened the window in his small apartment SHIELD had given him after the battle of Manhattan. Peggy wouldn't have wanted him to mope around like this. She would be horrified that this was what she made him.
