Jaken pondered his current predicament. There was a very important introduction that needed to be made, and he wasn't entirely sure how to go about it. For many years he had vainly wished that his feelings for his lord could be returned. But, if there was one thing that Jaken knew now, it was that affections were passing things and that one would always find a way to move on.
Now there was someone new in his life. Jaken was very happy with his new partner. They had a lot in common, and Jaken had never met anyone with such an agreeable personality- albeit the complete opposite of his former crush in every way.
"Well, putting this off won't make it any easier," thought Jaken. "Might as well get it over with."
"Come on, dear," said Jaken, reaching for the hand of his newfound love. "We have an announcement to make."
"I'm a-comin'," replied his reptilian paramore, rising to his gangly feet.
Together, they stepped into the clearing where Jaken's master waited.
"Milord?" began Jaken tentatively. "There's someone very special who I'd like you to meet."
Jaken nudged his partner forward into the scrutiny of the stoic youkai. Sesshoumaru's expression never changed as he regarded the decidedly amphibious countenance of the specimen Jaken had dragged before him.
"What is this, Jaken?" asked the youkai lord.
"Meesa Jar-Jar Binks..." Jaken's partner answered for him. "Meesa your humble servant."
AN: Um... yeah I know that was strange but I just couldn't help myself. I hope you enjoyed my first (and probably last) ever 'romance' fic... and you gotta admit they are kinda perfect for each other.
